  here's a thought guys......prove that jesus existed at all..using anything besides the bible....or the writings of josephus (which have been proven tampered with by the early christian church).

  you are all arguing a moot point...not only has the 'organization' been deceiving you.....but the bible itself is a made up, bit of pap, used to enslave man to his own dismay....prove me wrong.

  Pilate existed and so did Caiaphas, if Jesus didn't exist, the man or men who invented Christianty were extremely clever and willing to risk their lives to do it. Imagine inventing a new religion today so powerful it could turn the world upside down based on a fictional character. If Jesus didn't exist it's an even a bigger miracle than if he didn't.

  If they have the truth what are they afraid of, Jesus didn't shun people, but guess who did shun people - the Pharisees. They are just like them in many many ways.   jehovah's witnesses are some of the worst gossipers i've ever encountered, especially when it comes to the dating habits of those in the congregation.

  but, that's not really a surprise to most of us.

  this story, however, makes me just shake my head and wonder why this guy doesn't question stuff.. there's a sister in my brother's hall that recently got a divorce.

  i knew of a hall that allowed only white shirted speakers on the platform for sunday public talks!

  when a visiting speaker did not wear the official white shirt he was either told that he couldn't give the talk or he could change shirts,as the hall kept a variety of sizes, just in case of an emergency!!!

  just had a conversation with my mom about 13 million spent on defending and losing court cases by the society.. i argued that they can't argue against the catholics when they themselves are guilty of the same.. she replied she didn't care.

  (after sending them $100,000.00 dollars) she stated that the catholic church had spent billions defending them selves and if the jw's had only spent millions .

  that the society had spent billions sending a message, and if i didn't like their message then leave her alone and the rest of the group.. i am burning with rage......i was accused of trying to destroy her beliefs, and if i was not in agreement to reject the entire religion........which of course i have already done many moons ago.. r..

  mind you i've been df'ed for nearly a year now but still had hope 'friends' would remember we were like family and realize they couldn't possibly live the rest of their lives without talking to me again....ha!

  There is a whole army of insiders, trapped by their own stupid policies! The society are enablers of the seeds of their own downfall, bring people in, $h1t on them from a large height and make sure they can't leave. There is NO WAY the outside world won't get the see the Kool Aid version. Personaly I don't think that is the issue, this move is purely cost cutting.

  they had, what, an 1.6% worldwide annual publisher growth increase last service year?

  contrary to many predictions, i think they will better that this service year (ending 30 september).

  and i think there will be ongoing increases for the next few service years.
