Big Announcement on next Service meeting
by The Lone Ranger inthere seems to be a very important announcement this coming weeking on the next service meeting, forme it will be on wednesday 30th jan.. during the last 2 meetings they have asked that every batized jw be at that meeting and even to tell others who might not have heard the annoucement.. anyone here have any ideas i wouldn't be surprised if they are changing meeting times and arrangments...less meeting at is !.

I just got a senior citizen discount
by NewYork44M in.. and i don't know whether to scream or eat a banana.. i walked into a barber today to get a haircut.
the prices were posted outside with a haircut going for $15.95.
i got a very nice haircut and when i was ready to leave the barber said, "that will be $12.95.

I remember ordering a salisbury steak dinner a few years ago. Didn't notice anything different except the plate was slightly smaller and I got a bun.
Saved 50 cents and got a bun @ 49 years old then. The lady wrote down the seniors special for some reason. Never got that deal since.

JUST FINISHED talking to my dad, & wow, what a door knob he is.

i posted previously that i wrote my parents a heart-felt letter, an after-months-of-fighting-letter, my dad responded, i wrote back 2 times and he didn't respond for 2 and a half weeks.
so yesterday, i called him to ask if he got my last two emails and he was short with me and nervous and wierd, i don't know why i expected different.. today he called back to say how sorry he was for being short and nervous and wierd, that he was up all night because he was rude and he knew it, his words.

My spin.
Socialism bla bla bla, more socialism bla bla bla. I call bullshit!!! The greedy banks did it themselves. The banks are the root cause of all that's going on in the US. Not socialism, just the greedy bloodsucking banks.
Every freaking week I get at least 2 mail offers for a new credit card. I also get 2 or more phone offers for more credit cards.
I could get a credit card for my cat if I wanted to. Credit cards are handed out like playing cards, except in this case they are all Jokers!
Ask yourself if you or someone you know can only pay the minimum balance on a credit card. I know many.
The fact is that if people could only pay cash for whatever you wished, the price of stuff would be no where where it is today. Imagine if everyone had to pay cash for a car! What do you think the price of a car would be? Same for a home. I now see 50 year mortgages. I hear in some countries, the debt can now be carried over to whomever inherits the property. I just cannot believe how the banks were allowed to continue unabated without some regulation, or at least REAL income verification.
Let me tell you what I have started doing recently.
Every single credit card offer I now find with a low interest balance transfer for an extended period I am applying for. As soon as the card appears, I am transferring all I can borrow (in this weeks case at 1.9% for 1 year) and putting it into a guaranteed income certificate at about 4.5% and will have the credit card debt paid within 4 or 5 months.(Certainly by the time the rate goes up). Every other card with similar offers I will do it again.
If these banks are that freaking greedy ,then I will take their offers
Now some may think that's not fair, but I have to ask this question. Has any bank been your "friend" ? If you think so, then I suggest you think again. They are not. They are the ones that have caused all this pain. Greed, people!

JWs and narcissism

however, his thread isn't really the same as what i had in mind.
i was thinking about the jw belief that jehovah, jesus, all the angels, satan and all the demons and the entire world are watching their entire lives, every single move.

My Grandma turns 90 tomorrow
