One thing I would have to say is that a fetus should never have more rights than the host.

Being a Pro-Life Atheist
by B_Deserter init's strange and i'm not sure if it's because of my upbringing, but i just can't be pro-choice.
i just don't see the rational justification (other than a situation where the mother's life is in danger).
i don't, however, see a problem with stuff like the morning-after pill, when the embryo is just a group of cells with no consciousness.

How could an ex-Jw become Catholic
by My Struggle ini don't mean this to be offensive to any catholics in any way and believe that they can have true salvation unlike the jw.
also, i know little about the in's and out's of practicing catholicism, as i have never had any interest in being one.
regardless i am always surprised when an ex-jw says that they have found the real truth in catholicism.

I have many Catholic friends in Mexico and they do not practice shunning. They do dislike Witnesses, but only when they come knocking at your door. Not that it happens much there! I have always felt welcome in their churches, and never were pestered-just ocasionally gawked at. But even that stopped as they accepted the green eyed stranger with open arms.
As far as criticism of other orgs., well it is competition after all, and it IS about money.

Where did Christendom go? They HATED our bible in 1950...just read...
by oompa inthe articles on the jw-cd which only go back to 1950 where we fought back the attacks.
i do not understand why they did not continue to blast our bible since it is such a fraud....down south in usa churches teach members how to refute dubs at their door.....but why did they stop blasting the nwt?
it is sooooooo easy to show a dub there is a bunch of made up crap in it.....i may have to help my local chruches.....if you need more info about the horrible fraud parts, feel free to pm me.........................oompa......even elders dont know

Most of the people I know that attend church on a regular basis do not know what the word apostate means. In other words, the WTS is too insignificant to be anything to worry about. Only those in it actually believe in it's importance. At one tenth of one percent of the population, they are correct, it is an insignificant org.

The funniest line I remember was when they invited a large chested neighbour over for dinner or whatever and there were a bowl of tomatoes on the table. "Would you look at the size of those tomatoes" someone said( could be the older goofy brother?)- just about peed myself!

Yup, at least back then. I remember the Winnie situation always wondering if she would ever hook up with Kevin. They never did, did they?

I have noticed for some time that most evangelical orgs. are against all types of birth control, except abstinance. While abstinance is an excellent choice, why should others be denied birth control? Some even believe that condoms and bcp is evil. Prevention after all is the best way. The catholics are an excellent example. This makes no sense to me as many will be intimate no matter what you tell them, but will do it with or without protection.
Never mind pregnancy, how about protection against disease?

Hey LRG! Did you know that Terri Gibbs was blind since birth? Song was released Feb 28,1981. I remember it as a song about the devil. I wonder what a blind person would think Satan would look like?
