When I become a JW I had no idea what their regime was really like. Does anyone? It's concealed with all the talk about it being Jehovah' loving arrangement.

here is a question for you.
i'll give a little back ground.
i was raised in the witness organization however in about 1993 i encountered much hypocrisy and left for about 3 years.
When I become a JW I had no idea what their regime was really like. Does anyone? It's concealed with all the talk about it being Jehovah' loving arrangement.

you hear about prayers all the time in most religions, including jehovah's witlesses.
and they point to scriptures about how god answered specific prayers as evidence that he is ready to answer your prayers.
there will be a study article in the february 2008 kool-aid for those who have to attend the boasting session (and a comments you will not hear for those who don't).. now, i am going to analyze what this has to do with your prayers.
If you believe in prayer then it is for real

witnesses try to make it sound as though they are very very conscientious people.
they care about you, your spiritual welfare, your everlasting welfare....but nothing could be further from the truth!
if they truly cared, they would see to it that they reached people to give them the lifesaving truth.
I knew some who were sincere but a lot aren't.

okay, just to re-introduce myself, i was raised in the truth, regular pioneered for years, and am a member in good standing with my congregation.
i have just recently been shocked to realise that i actually have some doubts about the truth.
it helps for me to focus on one point at a time, and to write down my thoughts in a logical sequence.
The strangest thing about these predictions that keep on failing thing is that JW's still carry on as though it hasn't made any difference. I know it's all about mind-control and a whole lot of psychology issues are involved but sooooooooo frustrating.

yes i thought rutherford's policy on kid's was dead and the society had wised up....until i read the new "witnesses only" watchtower study magazine...compare.. rutherford's last book "children" 1942 = p.281 "wait until after armagedon to bring children into the world...it is only afew years before the other sheep are gathered to the lord, until armagedon...those with infants during armagedon will have greater woe...it would be a far greater difficulty to care for them during the tribulation.".
watchtower 2008 april 15 p.19 {picture of a middle aged couple witnessing with question: why do some christian couples decide not to have children?
} paragraph 12 "single or childless for a noble purpose.....numerous couples have decided to remain childless....they often do so to remain freer to serve jehovah...they are willing to place kingdom interests above some of the privileges that go with marriage...jehovah will not forget their work, and the love they show for his name...there will be a great tribulation...doubtless, it will be a difficult time for all of us-adults and children alike.".
My son and wife decided not to have a family until after ""A" and it was only a fluke that they now have a child!
Insane old men with their insane and dangerous cult propaganda !!!!!!!!!!!
That is so cute it should be nominated for an award JH

i just disassociated myself after nine long years in the wtbts after researching the history of the wtbts and its founders and their lies, false prophecies and mind-control doctrines.
read my profile for more about that.
anyway, i'm glad there is a wonderful support group for those who have escaped the grasp of the wtbts and enjoy life again without the constant fear that the wtbts instills at every meeting.

this very afternoon i went to see my doctor and after the medical discussion was over, he asked me if anyone in the family has contacted me or is speaking to me.
in fact for the past nine years he has asked me the same question and i telll him the same answer no.. he is very well informed when it comes to witnesses.
a huge percentage of jw's are his patients.
Orangefatcat - Its nice that you can talk about JW's with your doctor as he sounds quite informed. I have spoken with my doctor about my situation with family and the shunning practice and he knows about it too. The JW's don't support each other because they are fearful of being outed to the elders. Thats where the mind control plays a big part and why it works unfortunately. I think knowledge is the key to the downfall of the WT hold over its members and for more and more people having the courage to leave.
