what would the world be like?.

for example, today orthodox jews and christians don't kill witches and homosexuals because they can't legally.. but if things were as their god decreed in the bible, they'd be dead.. islam, when it has enough power to enforce it's laws, summarily kills and dismembers those that offend allah.. so if you're unhappy with all the gays and druggies and atheists and witches and hippies, are you secretly longing for the day when your deity of choice exterminates them?.

The world wouild be very ordinary and boring , no fighting no miscomunication no churches or schools , no military no beliefs no dogma or hate.

Everyone one would know wthout a doubt what the purpose of life was and how we should love everything and enjoy all that this existence has to offer , it would be impossible to seek only for self gratification because all would understand that only children shun pain and seek pleasure.

We would all know exactly what the meaning of all things was because we would feel everything as a part of ourselves and we would be free of this delusion of seperatness.

and the warmth and support i have received since has been remarkable.. i feel my posts are carefully read, accurately understood, and .

thoughtfully responded to.. the odd thing is that even though i feel i am now an active part of.

i was wondering why da or df jw no longer believe in god when they make up their mind to no longer attend a meeting.

first off let's not say that all of us become athiest when leaving.

I have to say that as a (read ) NON-CHRISTIAN I have no trouble getting the gist of the story of Jesus.

I am not atheist or anything "ist" I am human being , having learned to see things as they are without seeing them as I wish them to be ,I can say the story of Jesus is plain and simple a lesson for the self.

The bible is the story of what takes place inside each of us , not a story about what takes place in the world at large. That is a very simplistic point of view , this taking the old documents literally.

The truth of this world is apparent the moment we stop forcing our opinion on it and JUST SEE IT AS IT IS without telling ourselves a story about it.

All the debate over ancient books will not bring you one shred of certainty or knowledge, just get you more and more opinionated and blinded to the reality of being what we are .

If you convince yourself that a book you read could contain the profound and wonderful truth of our existence then I feel nothing but sorrow for you and your empty experience in this life.

The glory of our creators will is present in all things at all times and is not held in a book.

It is never more available than it is right now , most just look away from the obvious truth because it is far to simple and silent . it doesn't make any noise, it doesn't proclaim it's validity.

Only fear , self delusion , conciet and deciet need to defend and rationalize.

The truth says nothing .it is just the truth.

I must ask " Of what real importance is proving or disproving the beliefs of others? "

Of infinitly more value are the truths one discovers for oneself to be real.

What perverse satisfaction is found in the fallacy of others?

Empathy for the lost , not derision for them , or discrediting and already bereft system of beliefs.

Why do people only respond when they dissagree?

Why do people ignore the positive and similar and expound the negative and different?

Wouldn't the good like to experience the same fame and notoriety as the bad?

Why does it have to be the be all and end all of ideology?

Jesus never spoke of exclusivity or intolerance , just love and truth. .Forcefull expression of belief rather that the actual actions of belief are just self righteous vacuous performances that impress noone and turn many away

Jehovah's Witnesses are not a cult and here's why I think so

when most people think of "cult" they think of the people's temple, the branch davidians, or heaven's gate.

many also want to put jehovah's witnesses, mormons, and scientologists into this group.

i don't agree with that because there is one main difference between true cults and high-control groups like jws:.

The world in general is a cult , religions are just manifestations of that cultic mentality.

You must do this to succede , you must do that to be on our side . our side is the best side , the sneetches with stars are the best sneetches on beaches so on and so on.

The world tells us to believe what we believe , and we lap it up like kool-aid. WE are all victims of the best cult around , the USA.

I was conditioned by the world to believe things that were contrary to my true nature , I suffered trying to live under that conditioning.
