Why cant we all just move on? Are we too unselfish?
by oompa ini hate where i am at in life.
the subject is mainly for faders i guess, but even some hardcore da's probably just cant get things out of their system.
i want a fresh start, but feel i could not do it around old friends, family, and esp.

I know all about starting over . Its painful if you do it all ai once and its painful longer if you take more time. If you have decided to make a change use all your resources to that end . The kindest thing you can do for yourself is to make the transistion as QUICKLY as possible.
The pain of change is inevitable,the only thing you can moderate is the duration.

by Awakened07 inthe weird thing is - i almost can't recall what i once believed about the fds and gb ["faithful and discreet slave" and "governing body"], who they in fact were, and how they came to their conclusions and 'revelations'.. come to think of it, i think that was because i was conditioned to not ever question them, because to question them would be to question the organization, and to question the organization was to question jesus and jehovah.. but i've been trying to 'dig into' my brain to see if i can remember how i as an active jw saw them:.
- i believed them to be inspired, just not in the same 'degree' (?
) as the biblical writers were.

i read somewhere or was told by some brother that the ones with the heavenly hope aren't more spiritual or holy than anyone else they are just chosen by God for no apparent reason, they just know they are special and thats how it is, It was just one more bit of nonsense on a laundry list of nonsense . I think a more important question would be" how can they live with themselves after practicing such calous deception?"

I remember when my wife said"what , they even have thier own bible?" and I said "No this is the real bible the others were not accurate" LOL! I feel sorry for that kid too . Considering how they dupe adults and prey on your goodness it must really twist up children .I wish that all religions would try that new thing out now it's called honesty and reality.

it seeme that the story of jesus is predated by the story of horus the egyptian sun diety, the similarities between the two are remarkable and i found it casts a shadow on some of the more beloved belirfs of this country.
i find it a little disturbing that so many people i know put so much faith in religion.

A very little time spent researching Horus the sun god shows how much this strikingly similar story predates the Christ story . Anybody else ever notice?

Who decided the bible was form god?

A MAN or group of MEN decided the Bible came from God Just as in any other religion a group of men/man decide what is holy and what is not . Confusion is used to allow an idea of unification to be utilized as a means of controll . An 11 year old child is wise enough to understand that NOONE has the answer about GOD or lack of GOD . Why do we delude ourselves into believing what we are told is the trurh just because that is what we are taught? Because we are human and this causes us to work well together. Mixing spirituality in with social drive just screws with our head. God is for each of us individually to find on our own in our own way not in the way dictated by others. The truth is in each of us .

Im confused about the Trinity, and who believes it Help please
by WingCommander injust to recap, ive had a nice baptist pastor stopping by my house about once a month for the past 8 months.a very kind soul, we always have the most interesting discussions.him learning about how i was raised as a jw and their belief system, and i learning about his being born again, the trinity, heaven, views on armageddon, etc.
it has all been very interesting, me being raised a jw and now hearing what another denomination believes, especially about the 144,000 and why they feel it isn't a literal number.
also, i am on his regular "field ministry,", and this is shocking to me as i was always taught the other religions don't go door to door like us, with the exception of mormons - lds.. anyway, he made the comment to me that very view christian denominations did not believe in the trinity.he stated that really only small handful of denominations such as jws, mormons, and a few other cultic types dont accept the trinity.this was shocking to me, because asjw i always believed most everyone outside of catholicism and lutheranism believed as jw did, that jesus was gods son, and a totally separate created being.

You are confused as you are meant to be confused by the persons who conncocted your religion intended you to be . If a religion were easily understood everyonr would be a believer and not just the select few ,,,,, get it?
