  Troubling past few weeks...

  i've been df'd since march of 2007, haven't been to a kingdom hall since memorial, and haven't been to a regular meeting since about nov. 2006. .

  my dad's whole side of the family cut me off, my one aunt and my grandma did completely.

  my other aunt and my dad are having a harder time with it.

  You're very lucky to have such a good relationship with your father. I'm sure he's going thru very hard times being torn between you, his mother, and the borganization. But it's not your fault. Hopefully your example will eventually give him the courage to leave. Like you said - after grandma kicks it.

  An apparent drift in WTS dates

  according to the wts library cdrom, the watchtower, august 1 2005, page 12 provides a table of the kings of judah and israel.. i decided to reproduce the table and add two columns.

  my first additional column shows the conventionally accepted date and the second additional column shows the difference between the wtss date and the conventional date for each listed king.. as expected, since the final event listed is the destruction of jerusalem, that difference is about 20 years.

  i had expected this difference would be maintained throughout the table.

  Hey Mickey. Welcome! First off - my kids are big fans of your work.

  I'm in a very similar situation. I haven't posted my full story here, but I'm trying to get out for the kids sake. I WONT raise them in this organization. I'm in the middle of writing a long letter to my parents to break this news to them. It's tearing me up right now, and if I don't get it done soon then *I* will be the one having a heart attack.

  my old receiver just bought the farm, and currently i only have two speakers.

  do you techno-geeks have any suggestions?.

  I think it depends on the size of your weiner, and your neighbors. I mean the proximity of your neighbors, not the size of their weiners.

  I'm no expert, but I think wattage comparisons are only valid in the same brand. I think one brands 150w could be louder than another brands 200w.

  More important is s/n (signal to noise) ratio of the equipment. The longer the signal stays digital the better. Digital signals don't pick up noise going from one compnent to another, but analogue signals do.

  More is more.

  I'd say get at least 5.1. 7.1 might be more than you need - only applies to movies.

  Lots of old CDs are being re-issued as SACD in 5.1 or DVD Audio (also 5.1). I don't know if there's any music being distributed using 7.1

  Here's one you might enjoy.
