Would you support a witness who was refusing a transfusion?
by Caedes ini was thinking about what i would do if a family member was in the situation of refusing a blood transfusion.
if the doctors were trying to force them to accept a transfusion, would i support my family members right to choose or would i take the position that they are brainwashed and are incapable of making a rational choice on the matter?
does the fact that they are hopelessly ill informed take away from their right to make a choice that they know will kill them?

I don't think anyone under 18 should be allowed to martyr themselves. If I had teenage witness kids, I would defintley try to override their decision and save their life. Even if they never talked to me again, at least they'd be alive, and I wouldn't be haunted by that inaction.

That is classic mind control. If you can change someones actions for long enough, their mind will follow to eliminate the internal conflict. This is straight out of the "mind control how-to" manual.

Awesome Vista Home Premium Hack!
by Elsewhere ini'm running vista home premium at home and one of the things about it that sorely disappointed me was the fact that it does not have remote desktop.
you have to pay a lot more for vista ultimate or vista business to get the remote desktop feature.. today i tried out a new hack that turns on the remote desktop functionality and it worked like a charm!.

my dissfelowshipped hub not happy about our child visiting grandma
by looloo ini have finally got grandma to agree to seeing her grandchild , and hubby does not want it , he thinks that if she cant be bothered to make time for her then i should not chase it up , this is his mother , im not a dub , i can see his point but think it important to try and keep in contact .
any advice?

DO NOT let your children around JW grandparents unsupervised. No matter what ground rules you set - they will break them. Spiritual warfare.
Kids are smart, and they will notice how the grandparents treat you. You can't let them think this is acceptable.

by Mickey mouse ini was reading an interesting thread in the "best of" sub forum about how the wbts are referring to 1914 less and less in the literature.
this thread was from 2001 (would love to paste the link here but i have serious technical difficulties with this site .
i definitely see the society using the "silent dropping" technique referenced by ray franz and expect to see 1914 discounted completely in the near future.
