What Really Happened During Christ's Passover
by snowbird inchrist was crucified on what is known today as wednesday on the roman calendar - and was resurrected three days and three nights later, exactly as he said that he would.. it is also very important to keep in mind that god's biblical calendar days begin and end at sunset, hence the reason that, for example, in the biblical listing below, nisan 14 is equated with sunset tuesday to sunset wednesday (as it occurred that year, and has occasionally done in some years ever since).. sunset monday to sunset tuesday (nisan 13).
preparation of the room where christ would observe passover with the apostles, tuesday afternoon.. matthew 26:18-19, mark 14:13-16, luke 22:9-13. sunset tuesday to sunset wednesday (nisan 14).
christ observed his passover (also known as "the last supper") with the apostles, tuesday evening just after sunset.. matthew 26:20-29, mark 14:17-25, luke 22:14-38, john chapters 13-17. sermon: how to observe passoverat about 10 p.m. tuesday evening, they went out and entered the garden of gethsemane where the messiah prayed and was then arrested by the mob.. matthew 26:36-56, mark 14:32-52, luke 22:39-53, john 18:1-11. see also malchus.

What is Divorce like for a Baptised JW
by survived75 incould you please tell me just what happens at the congregation level when a baptised brother gets divorced?.
does he just go ahead and do it legally or must he let the elders know?
the situation i am wondering about is a fellow who was separated from his non jw wife for several years after she quit attending the kh.

I've seen first hand the Witnesses advocate for a separation based on the law of absolute endangerment of spirituality. The Witnesses physically moved a friend's wife out of their home and set her up with a Witness roommate.
In my opinion, all Witness marriages fail . . . the lucky ones divorce. -

Is rejecting supernatural explanations close-minded?
by inkling inhere is an excellent video regarding the accusation that skeptics are.
"close-minded" to the supernatural and to woo-based explanations .
if you have ever been on either side of one of these conversations, .

As a JW or Christian did you have a hard time explaining why God hasn't appeared in almost 2000 years?
by StoneWall infor the sake of less argument whether you're a believer or non-believer lets just for the moment say we can.
take the bible as it is in current form at face value.. i'm just going to cite a few examples of bible stories of god appearing and if we had been alive back then it.
shoulda been proof to all of his existence.. 1) leading the israelites out of egypt as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire at night.. 2) the waters of the sea miracously parting and allowing the israelites to go thru on dry land.

As a JW or Christian did you have a hard time explaining why God hasn't appeared in almost 2000 years? We're still trying to figure out why Knorr hasn't appeared for thirty two years.

One of the negative things I carried along for quite a while was the feeling of impending doom that I had acquired at a young age from over exposure to the Witness people. Witness meetings were nothing more than lessons on how to sabotage member's lives.
I struggled with seeing financial prosperity as a negative for too long as well. Thankfully I have a pragmatic streak and a curiosity that took me into the backrooms of my mind. The implications of my re-education forced reality on me and the realizations required a courage and a will that took mini vacations . . . seemingly of their own free will. Eventually I began to accept reality as something I could live with long term.
At some point I saw that my personal goal was to be indifferent to the Watch Tower Witnesses and comfortable in life. I defined a life that was obtainable and sustainable and worked toward that goal. I found out that results are a product of the direction of action. -

I saw two people sitting in a parked car in the parking lot of our apartment complex watching me. They were oriental females and I thought they were there to visit one of the tenants but I was wrong. When I drove up the street to turn around and head back home, I saw a pair of Watch Tower Witnesses split up and each take a door.
They're easy to spot because they wear dresses. Rational people here don't were dresses, carry sales folders, stalk a parking lot, and hit and run an apartment door. One day I picked up 5 Awake! magazines laying on the ground around this complex like the Penny Shopper.
I can tell ya how these two twinkies get their magazine placements in. They toss em down. I doubt they got enough brains to do a pitch and close. -

I don't respect the Watch Tower Witnesses enough to associate or disassociate. Screw em!
