They are so burned into my memory they just seem normal, but I suddenly realized I'm not
sure I have heard them used anywhere else.
oh, and does anyone else beside JWs insist that Jehovah dosnt PLAN anything,
becuase plans can get foiled, but that he PURPOSES things instead?
(thinking about it now, I think "plan" is a whole lot better word concidering that
his "purpose" of a paradise earth took a nasty left turn rather quickly.
Sounds like a plan with a monkey wrench in it to me rather that some perfect
elegant and unhindered "purpose"
Is "jehovah purposed" even gramatically corrent? it feels clunky.
I think JWs are allmost superstitious in thier hatred of god "planning" anything.

your organization has always been intently focused on "witnessing" and this includes going right up to strangers homes, knocking on their door attempting to engage them in a discussion of their beliefs.

you come prepared to point out the error of whatever faith they hold.

doctrines such as immortality of the soul, the trinity and eternal torment in hell you declare as false teachings and can back up your assertions with scriptures and skilled argument.

Yea, and it's patently stupid. That is, for a discriminated minority to continually use a word that offends them... in effect to propegate the existance of such terms at all is patently stupid.

my sister-in-law is recently divorced and went to a witness online dating site.

she mentioned that many of the witnesses specified that they wanted a white or latino only.

of course there is nothing wrong with this (personal preference), but i found it interesting.

My mom went to the funeral, and said that one of the "comforting"
points offered was that Jehovah knew exactly the pain of the grieving
parents because Jehovah too once lost a son in death.
(!!??!!?)
I found myself struck speechless by this comment. I found it really
offensive in some instinctual, core way, and I can't quite explain
why.
She also said how everyone there could see the truth in the Bible's
statement that the house or mourning is better than the house of
festivity.
What does that even MEAN??? Seriously, a young man just died a totally
pointless death! How can anyone be so cruel and barbaric as to try and
find something GOOD about it?
Witnesses are in seriously unhealthy denial about death.
