flipper , sorry i did not make my post clear , i was not sexually abused by the elder as i was a grown woman in her 20s at the time , it was an ex min servant that sexually abused my child , i actually felt sorry for the elder that told me how he felt about me as i think he felt really guilty , and he never touched me . and the newbie whos husband thinks she should get over it , my husband is the same about me coming on this site and he was brought up in the truffff so if he dosnt understand who would ???

one of the many things that made me see the light was when a married elder that was old enough to be my grandad told me about how he felt about me if you know what i mean , i really liked him as a friend but hadnt realised why he was so nice to me , i didnt even study anymore so found it odd that he still used to visit me the worst thing was i was a freind of his grandaughters , i was so embarresed but it made me realise that god does not use elders to speak through , he got a reproof i think but i regretted reporting it because i lost friends and felt sorry for him .

WHY DO PEOPLE JOIN CULTS?
by Maddie ini have become aware since being on jwd that many of us who converted to jw's as adults suffer from feelings of guilt and self-recrimination for being so badly deceived.
i for one sometimes have the desire to punish myself for becoming a jw, being instrumental in my son being in their clutches, and the pain that is caused by it all.
i have started to read "releasing the bonds" by steven hassan and i hope and pray that in time i will be more able to help my family leave the jw cult.

i had divorced parents and low self steem , these lovely people that were so trustworthy seemed the answer to my prayers , its a shame that i met the guy that abused my child there and destroyed my trust forever , wish i had looked into cults and sects before i got involved .

by WT=watchtrouble ini thought it would be interesting to see just how many people have climbed aboard jwd within the last 6 months.
