Why Can't We All Just Get Along?

i think this brief synopsis is worth thinking about, particularly on this forum, where emotions run high, opinions are hard-won and sometimes fought for with great intensity.. on the other hand: debate is essential to thinking ability and working through one's viewpoint, and eventually owning your opinion.

i think deep down on both sides of the 'god debate' most people just want to live in peace.

Enmity, strife, rivalries, dissensions, divisions and such are inevitable for those who live by the flesh.

The atheist is always going to be hostile to God, hence a marriage with a believer is ill advised however noble the idea.

after either being a witness or studying with them, and you find out stuff that has you leave, where do you go?

i don't think they are the true religion, but i do think they teach a lot of stuff that is correct.

like the trinity being a false doctrine, no idle worship, including crosses, and hell isn't a forever torture.

Jesus has eternal life.

JWs do not take the life He offers.

When considering other issues of doctrine it would be wise place far more importance on Jesus' own words than the teachings of any man Hebrews 1

What is it with JW's and the Cross?

history shows people were hung on stakes and crosses, why do the jw's make a big deal about the cross?

isn't jesus dying for the sins of man the issue?

the cross was a part of the jw's early on.

Whatever one thinks of the man's testimony, he certainly doesn't come over as crazy at all.

What's more, he has a incredible amount of peace and joy, especially when one considers what he has been through and is going through.

Personally, I have nothing but honour and respect for them both and their faith. May the angels come and minister to them some more.

john 2:19 says, "jesus answered them, "destroy this temple, and i will raise it again in three days.

" the jews replied, "it has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?

Stephen what about JW babies and JW old people who were very godly for decades?

The destinies of the unborn, infants and young children who die are not clearly defined in scripture.

However, there is evidence they go to heaven 2 Samuel 12:23

I have heard many testimonies those who have had dreams or visions of their own chlildren in paradise.

Indeed, the Kingdom is belomgs to such as these Matthew 18:3, Matthew 19:14, Mark 10:14

As for adults, we are free to choose. JWs choose the second death by not heeding the command of the Lord

Has anyone ever had a 'Near Death Experience' ?

i'm wondering if anyone here has had a "near death experience" or know of someone that has.

as an example: such as floating above your body during your operation when the doctors 'lose' you and you make a decision to return back to your body even though the bright light and some voice tell you otherwise... .

did it change you/them in anyway?.

I have never had one, nor ever hope to experience one! However, I have read and listened to many accounts of those who have, indeed those who have died and either resuscitated or resurrected. With these in mind I would answer some of your questions.

Did it change you/them in anyway?

Yes, many had profound experiences out of the body which radically changed their lives when back in the body. Others had only fleeting experiences and didn't experience anything life changing.

Do you/they now believe in some sort of after life?

See above.

Do you/they see that 'Near Death Experience' as your mind just playing tricks on you?

Once again, it depends on the length or indeed depth of their experience.

Did it seem real or feel like a dream?

See above.

I know someone that was clinically dead for 30 min before he was brought back. He told me he remembers absolutely nothing.

From what I have read, someone who is clinically dead for 30 mins is most likely to have irrecoverable brain damage and are only likely to be resurrected, see here Lazarus Syndrome

The apostle Paul could have likely experienced one 2 Corinthians 12 when he was stoned to death Acts 14:19 or possibly "beaten with rods" Acts 16:22, 2 Corinthians 11:25
