What will it take to really change the WT Society?
by Mindchild infor many ex-jehovahs witnesses there is a disconnection between what we wish we could be doing in terms of making pronounced change in the ideological structure of the watch tower society or the dissolution of it, and what we actually find ourselves doing.
at some level we sense there are incredible potentials just waiting to be realized in the collective struggle to bring down the tower not just because it is fundamentally wrong and harmful to millions of lives but also for the changes it will make in our lives.
over the years though, i think a lot of us kind of feel that we are stumbling around in the dark trying one thing or another without anything serving as catalyst that starts an energetic chain reaction.. in a way, it reminds me of a phenomenon i learned back in my college days about termites.

Even the GB is preparing for the demise of the 'anointed class', or rather, it's representatives. In the eyes of the Watchtower, the anointed ones as individuals are not important at all if they're not at the top. Only few of the thousands claiming to be anointed take part in the provision of what is called spiritual food. And recent moves by the Tower shows that there's a preparation for the eventual demise of the top anointed. Members of the other sheep are being prepared for some big responsibilities (I think the Ezekiel prophecy is being revisited/revised for New Light to address this)..The 'real anointed'? If there are, they're scattered about probably somewhere, some in, and so me out, outside the Tower.

you miss the essence of the Ezekiel prophecy. Any young unbaptised publisher will educate you that the fulfillment is now; it's spiritual. There's a symbolic temple people are flocking to, with headquarters at Brooklyn, and the attack for Gog is almost being fulfilled. Then, there'll be a greater fulfillment in the future...

Reasons why its so hard to break from the WTS
by Leander ini'm still sitting on the fence trying to figure out which direction to go in.
i think one of the reasons i have'nt left yet is because of the fact that i'm not entirely sure that the wts is really not god's organization.. some of the reasons why i feel that way is because of their insight on the scripture.
i've never heard of any other religion attempt to decipher the prophecies in the book of daniel and revelations.

it's easy to be impressed with all the information JWs offer from the bible. It's true that they spend a great deal of time trying to understand the scriptures, and because they do have an impressive system of "coordinating" their beliefs, it turns out that everywhere you go, average JWs are basically the same. But the picture changes the if you were to have some basic understanding yourself. Combine this with the intolerance of the JW leadership with respect to opposing views, then the picture becomes un-nice.This you would easily see by doing some research into the evolution of the current JW teachings. In about a hundred years of existence, JW teaching have changed so much that you begin to wonder if God's hand is there. JWs will point to the bible as a book that's stood the test of time. What about their own notions of the bible's message? JWs will encourage you to research your own religion from independent sources; do they encourage that the same be done of their own religion? The top JW hierarchy is concerned about what that new ones and rank and file JWs will find should they decide to engage in independent researches about the religion. They published a book of the history of JEhovah's Witnesses (Proclaimers Book) which, in the JW fashion, misrepresents history.
In fact, one should hope that it is not God's Organization. If it is, then there's something about God.

On STUMBLING BLOCKS
by You Know injust a few loose ends and random thoughts for a select group of readers who have not been completely defrauded of your faith.. on the topic of stumbling: stumbling typically involves the mistakes of others whether real or perceived.
the reason jehovah does not consider any stumbling block as a valid reason for abandoning ones faith is because a persons faith should be in jehovah and christ in the first place.
and since god most assuredly did not let his worshipper down, what a fellow believer does or does not do should have no bearing upon our personal relationship with our heavenly father.

So, God acknowledges that his organization is guilty of setting stumbling blocks before the nations that they are seeking to enlighten. The context of the prophecy is that Jehovah chastises and cleanses his people. That this prophecy would likely have a future fulfillment is indicated by the fact that Jehovah says that no more will God’s people be the object of humiliating talk on the part of the nations. Obviously, we are just beginning the initial phase of a public denunciation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and God has yet to intervene and set things straight.

you continue to spurt out blasphemy on God. A God who makes the kind of acknowledgement you allege would not expect decent people to worship him.And don't you see the difference between the Governing Body/Writing Department and Rank and File Jehovah's Witnesses?
