  i've always wanted to ask this question to those that have decided to leave the organization.. what will you do when the great tribulation begins?.

  right now folks, a lot is happening in the political world.. gordon brown (prime miniter of england) last week gave a speech to the un stating that it is time for the un to step in and solve the world's problems, (specifically mentioning the economy and hunger crisis worldwide.).

  barrack obama is shaping up to be the next president, a fellow who sure knows how to persuade and lead great crowds.

  recently i purchased a sony product at radio shack.

  i was about to throw out the packaging when i realized a raised strip on the instruction card insert.

  upon closer examination, i saw a very very tiny logo on this raised strip.

  Close friends to be discouraged in Witchtower.

  in some workplaces, colleagues are actively discouraged or even forbidden to socialize.

  what is the rationale behind this?.

  for centuries, the roman church has discouraged priests and nuns from having "particular" friends.

  On the sound use of mental suicide.

  this topic is meant as a follow-up of my recent conversation with r. crusoe on different threads.. it seems to me that the current popularisation of eckhart tolle's philosophy, resurrecting what i think is the very core of age-old mystical traditions (to put it shortly: death of the culturally constructed "self"), without the collective mythological, institutional and social settings for such an experience, is potentially very liberating but also very dangerous.. i am sensitive to that because i went through a similar experience when i left jws -- i felt both its empowering and destructive force, and, although i certainly don't claim to have dealt with it optimally (is that an adverb?

  ), i'm hoping that experience, good or bad, may benefit others, to an extent.

  and i'm sure that i'm not alone in that case.. so i'd like this thread to be primarily supportive, even though that may include some theoretical and practical criticism.. .

  what has been taught as armageddon is actually the great tribulation.

  the agenda for a "man-made" paradise will come about during this time.

  of course, the jws will, as always, be told that it is being "divinely directed" and believe that without question.

  i had never heard of this before.

  she said they were like helpers for the gb.. for anyone who served at bethel, or knows about it - can you explain this to me?

  Sinus problems

  i have had sinus problems my entire life, recently a friend told me about this sinu-cleanse thing, its a sinus cleansing treatment that you can get at cvs pharmacy, its pretty cool, its a little pot that you mix warm water with saline solution and put in one nostral and it drains out the other, the first time i used it i had a bad sinus head ache and thought well i will give this thing a try, so i mixed it up and did the treatment, blood clots and pink then red water started coming out of my nose, and after i noticed my headache was gone, i could breath great, and felt a lot less pressure in my head.

  this thing is pretty awesome!

  just thought i share with all of you.. sorry if its a bit gross.
