  Foreign language groups. OK to dress in a Saree Sisters?

  in the uk we have 'urdu' groups which are usually english people learning urdu and going to preach in mainly muslim areas.

  (most who speak english perfectly).. some of the white/non asian sister dress in sarees.. is this disrespectful?.

  Many years ago - when about to attend my first ever International Assembly in London I didn't want to go (Boy, should have dug my heels in) but I was an obedient teenager. What stood out to me most was I was told I had the opportunity to see all the Bros and Sis in their National costumes and it will look lovely.... that was 40 years ago! Even then that shook me and I just said that I thought Nationlism was not accepted in JWdom! Never got an answer to that one and it took me another 32 years to get out.

  " surely, the browser should be compliant with web code standards, not the other way around?

  I don't like Chrome, it gets all Googly on me... Firefox from now on.

  Still don't think it's morally right that a BIG company like Micro$oft can 'alter' standards just match their whim. What's the point of standards?

  Watchtower 2011 July 15 Study Edition: Are all study editions like this?

  so during my research on the wts, i stubled across a link to the july 15th watchtower.. .

  i'm assuming that the study editions are the ones that they only give to members/ those who attend meetings.. .

  Some are worse? Is that possible? Why did you make me read that?

  That font just makes me shudder... I remember now how much that made me hate it all... like a trigger! I have come to totally despise it. I see the font and immediately I go on the defensive - shut up shop to any of it's message (thank goodness!) Grrrr!

  Once again Micro$oft is calling the shots... what ever happened to International Coding standards?

  i was just thinking today at work about the whole ngo thing and got pretty deep in thought about it.

  i remember reading about it and i remember reading on a pro jw site i think it was jehovah uk or something like that.

  on the pro jw site they said that when the society signed and joined as an ngo there were no requirements to pledge that you will uphold the ideals of the un etc etc.

  The pertinent , most damning point, is that they LIED about it all. There is no justification for that in a religion that calls itself the "truth" and supposedly worships a"god of truth".

  But what if it's perfomed as an act of "Theocratic Warfare"? They seem to have all bases covered. Creeps!

  I wsh the UN had not removed that page - is there any way we can lobby the UN to restore it? It does help to endorse the lies the WTBS tell in defence over the issue. Makes opponents seem nuts!

  Tonight I disassociated myself - after 24 years - had 2 hour meeting with Elder

  i am now sitting at home.

  my wife left with my little child.

  my fault (i dislike the word "fault", but don't have a better one right now).. it feels strange, relieved and free, at the same time it was all very strange.
