If any of these b*stards that keep saying global warming is a myth were to visit South Texas in the middle of summer I think they would shut the h*ll up! Hello! Iceland will be non-existent in about 30 years!!!! Yes, Texas has always been hot in the summer, but it's worse now. And our winters can hardly be called that. Used to be it would snow in these parts every once in a blue moon...it's been about 25 years since that's happened.

I cannot wrap my mind around this teaching. It makes no sense whatsoever. There are passages in teh Bible that state (wish I could remember where- John?) that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father. That is a present tense statement. So how does that mesh with the WT doctrine? He's sitting there doing nothing until 1914??? In another verse it says that Jesus has dominion over all things...

Good points all. This is precisely the problem I have with the Memorial. It seems pointless to have this "memorial" when most congregations won't have ANYONE who's actually partaking. WT says only the "anointed" are to partake, but where does the BIBLE say that? I've heard it explained that the disciples were anointed, so that's where the idea comes from. It seems the WT teaches many ideas that are not spelled out in the Bible.

Anything with good information. I'm trying to glean knowledge on the Bible and the "organization". I also appreciate the personal stories, which give insight into feelings and emotions of those who've been in and/or are now out. The numbers turn me off- they don't mean anything to me. The fun threads are good, too. I loved the Ya-ya sisterhood, lots of laughs.

This Past Week Has Been Hell!
by XJW4EVR inlast friday morning, my wife was attacked while waiting to transfer between buses.
normally, she has the car, and i commute to school, however this day i had to take the car in for some repairs, and then commute to school.
she fought off this guy for some time, and walked away with scratches, scrapes, and some bruises.

X- Don't blame yourself, sweetie! This was NOT your fault, and it could have happened even if she'd been driving the car. Definitely do the counseling, asap. Thank God she was strong enough to fight him off, even to wear him down so much that he had to lie down...that is one strong lady!
