i grew up in the late 70's, early 80's.
i remember hearing the first rap song called 'rapper's delight' by the sugar hill gang.
then came kurtis blow and grand master flash and the furious five.
Maybe it was the nature of it in the fist place. Um they were and are mostly protest songs against society, the system, poverty and important: authority. Hence there dislike of rap from the start. Hmm the swearing helps too.
On the other hand the wtbs had a thing against Rock 'n roll, blues Jazz and you name it. even the twist was banned I mean...C'mon! They are control freaks and this is just a symptom of that attitude. "we old farts don't like and so should you" kinda spirit.

recently i began dating a very fine young lady -- my first "girlfriend" ever, really.
Strange isn't it? When you look at the ladies it is "you undress them with your eyes you pervert!" but when you try to be decent and not look as frequently it is "are you gay?".
Happened to me too, people being "relieved" about me not being gay...

Wow! I'm sorry to hear that! That's a tough deciscion to make even if it is the right one. It always hurts. Don't worry about the pain it will pass. You will not forget however. When you have doubts about if it was the right thing to do simply recite all the reasons again in your head and feel confident that it was better for the both of you.
Other than that I can give little advise. I do not know exactly what transpired between you two. One more piece of advise: don't rush into a new relationship without finishing this one completely. Stay single for a while and clear your mind and hart. Then you will be able to give yourself again to someone deserving of that priviledge.

when you had compiled a mountain of evidence proving the wtbts to be a false prophet, blind guide, and definetly not the truth, what did you feel would happen when you presented this information to your dub family and friends?.
i had compiled so much evidence it was overwhelming, i naively thought i would get my family all together and present it and they would say omg we've been lied to this can't be the truth.
then i'd do the same to my dub friends.
I do have a mountain of evidence too but I decided to let them (my relatives) gradually into this information. since I expected the reactions you have encountered.
Hitting them with a load of this stuff will trigger shell-shock so to speak: they will feel atacked, panic and retreat even deeper into the trenches of denial. From then on you will be seen as a collaborator with the enemy and information you present subsequently will be dismissed right away as untruthful. Further actions are thus rendered useless.
