I brought one person in. But he slept with my wife, so I figure we're even.

Do you feel guilty about bringing people. . .
by StinkyPantz ininto the borg?.
i fortunately was never able to have a bible study grow all the way to the point of baptism.
but for those of you who did, do you feel guilty about bringing another person into what i think of as a cult?

"Code Of Silence" by Billy Joel
Everybody's got a million questions
Everybody wants to know the score
What you went through
It's something you
Should be over nowEverybody wants to hear the secrets
That you never told a soul before
And it's not that strange
Because it wouldn't change
what happened anyhowBut you swore to yourself a long time ago
There were some things that people never needed to know
Guess there's one that you keep
That you bury so deep
No one can tear it outAnd you can't talk about it
Because you're following a code of silence
You're never gonna to lose the anger
You just deal with it a different wayAnd you can't talk about it
And isn't that a kind of madness
To be living by a code of silence
When you've really got a lot to say//
You don't want to lose a friendship
There's nothing that you have to hide
And a little dirt
Couldn't hurt no one anywayAnd you still have a rage inside you
That you carry with a certain pride
In the only part of the broken heart
That you could ever saveBut you've been through it once
You know how it ends
You don't see the point
Of going through it again
And this ain't the place
And this ain't the time
And neither's any other daySo you can't talk about it
Because you're following a code of silence
You're never gonna to lose the anger
You just deal with it a different waySo you can't talk about it
And isn't that a kind of madness
To be living by a code of silence
When you've really got a lot to say//
I know you well enough to tell you've got your reasons
That's not the kind of code you're inclined to break
Some things unknown are best left alone forever
And if a vow is what it takes
Haven't you paid for your mistakesAfter the moment passes
And the impulse disappears
You can still hold back
Because you don't crack very easilyIt's a time honored resolution
Because the danger is always near
It's with you now
But that ain't how it was supposed to beAnd it's hard to believe after all these years
That it still gives you pain and it still brings tears
And you feel like a fool
Because it's part of your rules
You've got a memoryBut you can't talk about it
Because you're following a code of silence
You're never gonna to lose the anger
You just deal with it a different wayBut you can't talk about it
And isn't that a kind of madness
To be living by a code of silence

Shocking people out of their complacency is a time-honored technique.
On the other hand, I've never been inclined to make people uncomfortable without a purpose.

Convention notes from Friday morning
by crownboy inwell, due to my family situation, i was forced to attend the "zealous kingdom proclaimers" convention this year.
i decided to take notes so that i could share some of the points with you guys.
i've decided to post the notes for the friday morning session.

My eyes are glazing over just reading the notes!
If I'd had any idea of attending again out of morbid curiosity, I've given up on it now. What a waste of three good days....

I have finally named my parakeets.
by Tammie inafter several days of thinking, and everyones suggestions.
i have finally named my birds.
first of all i want to thank everyone for their suggestions.

Parakeets are the gateway drug. Next thing you know you'll have a lovebird, then a cockatiel, then a Senegal ... pretty soon you'll be buying full-height cages for your cockatoos and wondering if your macaw will play with the grey parrot's old toys!
Watch out! Being a bird person is irreversable! (but fun)

A simple question for You Know

do you think the end of the current system is going to happen in your lifetime?

My point has always been, that ridiculers of Jehovah's judgments have always been steamrolled eventually.
I feel a distinct presence of three dimensions. Nobody's flattened me. And before you say that I will be flattened someday in the future, your statement is in the past perfect tense.
"They laughed at Newton. They laughed at Einstein.... But they also laughed at Bozo The Clown."

Actually, I'm USAian but I might have been fairly unhappy to have the USA win, what with all the fouling going on.
Is World Cup football always that ugly?
