  Last night's meeting

  my son had a talk last night, so i had the priviledge of trudging off to another meeting.

  the bible section being considered at the present time is isaiah 19-26. much to my surprize, i learned that the society is prefigured in at least two places in these few chapters.

  they consider themselves the "watchman" class, as well as the "eliakim" class, with the poor old clergy of christendom relegated to the mere "shebna" class.. this correspondance of the society to virtually everything in the bible is getting sickening already.

  Let me ask you.....why are the Witnesess unified ? Could it be because all of what they believe comes from a single source that all are REQUIRED to believe? Well I guess the mormons could be "spititual Israel" also....their UNIFIED.

  So you think the dubs are UNIFIED. OK....Take 100 average dubs and question each one privately. They are not allowed to look in any literature for answers.

  Then ask them a series of questions relating to organization policies, bible questions, etc.
  Then...examine all the answers from this survey and see how UNIFIED they are.

  The point here.....the only reason they are unified is...they all get their answer from the same source and must believe what that source say's. That source is made up of men.

  You Know....for a bright person as yourself.....I wonder how you can believe what you claim to believe....

  i remember the andy griffith show (featuring the affable deputy fife) from the earliest times of my life.

  it will be popular when my daughter is old and gray, no doubt.

  but now... i'm beginning to wonder about me.... i find myself watching i love lucy whenever it's on, and i once hated... i say hated, the show.

  It's OK to get older teejay.. in some ways....in other ways it sucks.
  Many older shows that I used to not like as a kid I like very much now.
  When I was in my early 20's "All in the Family" was the big show to watch and I didn't like it... now I love it.

  I think as we get older and wiser many things look different than they did when we were younger.

  Teejay.....do you remember "I married Joan"...with jim backus?

  this comes from the branch in canada....... in england one of our blind brothers had a seeing-eye dog that would.

  faithfully guide and take him to the meetings each week.

  begging his(new) owner to get up and go. So finally the man followed the dog's lead, was brought to the Kingdom Hall and guided to a chair."

  Isn't this encouraging folks! The new owner followed the dogs lead. I wonder how far the new owner lived from the hall?
  Hopefully not over a mile or so. My how that new owner trusted his new dog.

  Since the dog was accustomed to the old owners schedual of things he probably drove the new guy nuts.At 6:00 am the new guy is awakened by a barking german shepard reminding him to wake up and take his morning dump even though this new guy takes his dump at 7:45 am

  I think the bottom line here is that Jehovah spirit was operating in the dog. Jehovah could have had a couple of witnesess knock on the guys door and start a study, but he chose the weird and odd way as it makes a better experience to tell.

  would you go out with someone who was not physically attractive if he/she had a big heart on the inside, a great personality, lot's of things in common with, etc...i guess i'm asking what's more important to you the person on the exterior or who he/she really is underneath?.

  today's Kingdom Hall experience

  went to my grandfather's funeral service at the kingdom hall today.

  two or three minutes were spent on grandfather, and the rest on the bible, jehovah, how sin makes our bio cells degenerate, etc.

  etc.. fortunately, i'm well past the stage of anger at the witnesses for shoving their religious beliefs down my throat.

  Hey CYG. I went to a funeral service a few weeks ago of a man who died and his wife was a witness. She had an elder give the talk at the parlor.

  It went as you said. A few minutes on the deseased, and the rest of the time on witness theology on the condition of the dead.
  They had a captive audience for their sales pitch.
