Whats the truth about 1914?
by Leander ini've heard on a few occasions from my research on the internet that 1914 really does not have the significance that wtbs assigns to it.
from my limited understanding on the matter it involves the wtbs moving the date of the destruction of jerusalem.. can someone give me a little more detail on this or provide a link with a website that does?.
if its true that the wts has manipulated historical dates and bible scriptures to support this date of 1914 then that would mean everything else crumbles.. thanks for any info on this

They had the DATES WRONG several times but now it's correct and we should believe the current way, if I understand the dub way of thinking?Do you really think YOU (The Borg)are the ONLY ones on this planet who thinks Christ return is near and so you are people of HIS choice?
At least other Fundy churches that I know of have NOT made predictions and set dates for christs return as the Borg has!
The Borg stands in starck contrast to others for its continued erronious ever shifting teachings that truly represents "CONFUSION".. IF... this is what is meant by Babylon in the bible.
How many people are DEAD from other churches false teachings on medical blunders the Borg has under it's belt?
How you can sleep at night is truly an inigma to me!

Who knows GB Member Gerrit Lösch?
by GermanXJW ini was told that gerrit losch was one of the nethinim before he became a gb member that means he was not of the annointed.
my source told me he felt he was annointed but did not partake from the emblems because of his wife who has the earthly hope.
but then he changed his mind and became a gb member.. is this true?

To be a member of the Governing Body, one does not have to necessarily be part of the anointed. They changed that rule some time ago...???????????????????????????????????????????????

No more shunning from me!
by Dawn ini was a jw for years, and i constantly run into old "friends" at the store, gym, doctor's, cinema, etc.
up to now, i have just looked the other way because i knew they couldn't talk to me.. but after reading some posts here - i realized that i was contributing to their shunning.
acting like i was still under their law - well no more!!.

This has been the case for me in most encounters!
Most are shocked that you confidently looked at them in the eye, smiled warmly, and said hello.
I always get a hello back and even TALK to MANY that know I am df'ed and an apostate in their eyes.
They expect from you.....especially if you are an apostate.....an evil look or a hatred toward them from you. A warm smile and friendly hello at this point blows them away.
They see you as DIFFERENT THAN THEY THOUGHT YOU WOULD BE.
Much of what I said depends upon the person you were PERCIEVED as ....when you were a dub.
If you were well known and well liked.....the response will likely have much more success.
Good luck and always remember to show kindness to them as this works best all around.

Could humans live forever on Earth?
by sleepy incould humans live forever on earth?.
since i was born i believed it was my destiny to live forever in a paradise on earth.. now that dream has been put aside, i question the whole concept of an everlasting earth.. of course scientists have long pointed out that the earth does not have an infinite life span.
and even if it did there are other factors to consider.

Science however seems to change it's theory on various matters quite often when newer information becomes available......kind of like the dubs!
I just heard the other day that scientist have said regarding global warming......"actually the earth is getting colder in many places".

incase you think i'm some irate jehovah's witness idiot who's been offended by the terrible blasphemy that he's read on here, i'm not.
i was raised a jw, but now i'm not one.. first of all, given the url, i thought this website was in some way affiliated with the jehovah's witness organization, whereas in reality it seems from the posts i've read that most people here are either former jehovah's witnesses or soon-to-be former jehovah's witnesses.
