There are multiple arrivals, visible, invisible, types, the great antitype, besides Jesus doesn't matter anyways, we look to the FDSC for our salvation, blah blah blah blah. Go away apostate scum!

A knock-down argument against the WBTS interpretation of Matt 24:45-47!
by yadda yadda 2 inthe wbts teaches that in 1919 jesus inspected all of christendom and appointed the wbts "over all his belongings" in fulfillment of matthew 24:45-47: "who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?
happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so.
truly i say to you, he will appoint him over all his belongings.".

The Facebook Shun
by sass_my_frass ina modern twist on the shun the other day: somehow an old jw friend had added me to her facebook friends a few months ago.
i thought i'd leave her alone for a while, figured she'd read my blog and discovered my current opinion on the organisation and what they did to my family.
i hadn't messaged her, but the other day i'm on and notice that she's online, so i start a chat.

Spiritually, I'm sure you're doing far better than you ever were as a dub. Dubs are among the least spiritual people I know.

Jehovah's who?
by jambon1 inat the end of the day, who really cares about jehovahs witnesses in the general population?
who gives a toss?
they think they have this oh so special message & how important they are, when really nobody gives a toss.

Most people think that JWs are some sect of Judiasm. They don't have the slightest clue about them other than some hazy image of wierdos who don't do any celebrations, clean up their convention sites real good, and wake you up on saturday morning with a big fake smile and a filthy rag.

Weird conversation! My first run-in with an evangelical type other than D2D
by DoomVoyager inso yeah i am at work, and i was just kinda chatting with this other worker here.
i've been here two weeks now, so i just met this guy two weeks ago, he works in the plant and i work in r&d so i don't see him a lot, but from the brief contact we've had he seems like a pretty cool guy with a slightly offbeat sense of humour.
he's puerto rican or something.

Anyways he comes into the lab area where I am just now and we talked a bit, he says he wants to head home, but the rain is so hard he's going to wait a couple of minutes before he leaves. I say:
"Yeah, it's pretty nasty out there, isn't it."
"No! Nasty will be when Lord Jesus comes to earth for his people and everyone else has to fight for their lives. That will be NASTY."
"... ... ..."
"Well, see ya!"wtf. I expect all of you folks from the Bible Belt would have just blew that off but I've never met anyone who actually belived in all that Rapture business, other than a few oddballs met in D2D field circus.

Tell Us Dumb Things You've Heard Elders & Bethelites Say
by minimus inthere are a lot of dumb organization men.
gb losch seems to be the top dog for dumbness.. in the local halls i've seen and heard many dumb elders open their mouths.. one elder had a fondness for bible prophecy and watchtower chronology.
he always speculated on what the "watchtower really means" about a statement in print.

I can remember the hounder-hounder talking about how a missionary was not feeling well (perhaps from not getting enough sleep the night before?). He was out in field circus, without enough food (likely because of being out in field circus all the time instead of earning money), and the last call threw a cabbage at him. That was supposed to be Jehovah's way of feeding him.
Holy crap, I am at work and I started laughing way more loudly than would be appropriate here. Good thing my boss is in a meeting. :D -

A privilege to know Jehovah
by Iwonder17 inso last night, a sister gies the following comment:.
" we should help our bible studies appreciate the privilege that they have to know jehovah".
all of the dubs were nodding their heads and saying ooohhh and ahhhh under their breath.

I'm going to have to start using the term in that sense. Technically it shouldn't even be offensive to Christian persons, since the Bible does say that 1000 years is but a day to Jehoober.
