Our poor little Brookie (whyamihere) got her poor little finger slammed in the door by my adorable grandson tonight (ACCIDENTLY OF COURSE). She had to go to the hospital and get big needles stuck in her finger to releave the pressure and is now enjoying the benefits of pain medication. I'm sure she could use some well wishes as fingers are very important and so is my lovely Brookie (whyamihere). Poor, poor baby. GIVE OUR BROOKIE SOME LOVE!!!

Q19) Why do you feel indebted to your congregation? Sister Cathy raises her hand: "I feel indebted because those leading this congregation are such dumb "a**es" that they don't even know their own "Elders Instruction Book". They just make up their own rules as they go along. So this made it so easy for my husband, myself and my children to see how totally corrupt the Elders & MS's were in our congregation. (At this time the Watchtower conductor is desperately trying to cut off Sister Cathy but she will not be denied)!!! As we felt we were dying a slow and painful death in the congregation, we decided it would be best for us to leave and have a clean conscience rather than going along with the crap we were constantly being bombarded with. So thank you congregation...we are indebted to you because you truly showed us the real truth about the "truth"!" At this time Sister Cathy is escorted to the back room where there is an immediate gathering of judge, jury and then the hanging. Amen!

After reading many topics.. I'm confused. Is this a JW forum or an ANTI-JW?
by MichaelM ini'm studying with a jehovah's witness and it makes quite a bit of sense but i've been reading many topics on here and it seems that i can find every christian denomination and every religion except jehovahs witnesses.
do any jw's actually browse here?
maybe i'm just getting unlucky and picking the wrong topics where everyones discussing about how they used to be jw's.

The Story of Minimus
by minimus inwhen i was a teen, i aspired to be an elder.
from my pre-teens until i was 18, i was in every circuit assembly and district convention----having either ministry school talks or parts or experiences.
at 20, i conducted a bookstudy in the afternoon, also regular pioneered, was the theocratic ministry school overseer in the 2nd school and regularly taught the main school.

Nice to hear more than the minimum from Minimus! Glad that you got out and your story just proves that the good elders who still have a CONSCIENCE are most likely to get that "light-bulb" moment and head out the back door. We are all glad you did. AND furthermore...I heard that expression: "that they HAD to do more"! so many times I just wanted to slap those elders silly and now I wish I had. ta ta...mumsy

2007 International Apostate Tour
by lawrence inlet's show up at a few assemblies (close proximity) and have a p-a-r-t-y!
screw the debates over words; when we spoke to the boe, cos, dos, and bethel we were dealing with murderers, pedophiles, and protectors of mean men and women, called brothers and sisters.
now it's our time to have some fun within "the courtyard of the gentiles.

Yuk, yuk, yuk and yuk, yuk. I watched last night and could just feel my blood pressure rising steadily throughout the show. A very fine piece of propaganda and glosses over so many REAL facts about JW's. If you go to the "Talk Back" section on the "Knocking" website...you can already see the X-JW's comments being tossed aside by JW's who say that those people who leave "anti-JW" messages were just disgruntled or sinful and df'd. These people are completely delusional...as I was at one time. Nice summary of the documentary Blondie! I challenge those two who made it to do one on the "other" side of the little JW bubble. mumsy p.s. What is the difference between Hitler killing off millions of Jews and the JW's looking forward with eager anticipation to Armageddon, where billions of people will be destroyed, except the JW's don't have to do the dirty work..."Jehovah" will do that for them. Go figure.

Sharing a bed
by sass_my_frass inthis is ot (like half of the topics in 'friends'), and a bit personal, but i don't actually have that many friends that i can talk about this with, so here goes.... mr frass and i believe we're very happily married, and we're very affectionate.
trouble is, around midnight many nights, i'm finding that i can't get comfortable and sleep.
i need to turn around a lot, cuddle a spare pillow in *just* the right way etc.

I have a sleeping disorder and can only sleep alone. I spent many a year sleeping at my husband's side and my health suffered because of his snoring and my problems with sleep (and I snore terribly too). I bought a "white noise" machine and that helped somewhat, along with earplugs (very uncomfortable to wear all night). So about ten years ago we decided to sleep in separate bedrooms. I personally think it contributed to our marriage as we are better rested for facing LIFE. Just because you sleep in different beds doesn't mean your, um, sex life goes down the tube. Doesn't feeling good improve such things? Me thinks so. (Sorry Brookie...more information than you wanted to know about the in-laws, HA)! We'll be celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary next January. It might not work for everyone; but it sure did for us. Okay...I have said WAY TO MUCH so ta ta one and all. Have a great memorial day weekend. mumsy

I saw "knocking"last night--my review
by Junction-Guy inwell thanks to one of the members here at jwd, i was sent a copy of knocking.
i watched it last night with the exception of a small segment that i will finish out today.. .
the actual film itself was a puff piece meant to instill sympathy, and it did that well.

They're showing it tonight on our local PMS...err...PBS station, channel 8, central WI. I keep telling myself...don't watch it...it'll only make your blood pressure go through the roof. Then again, I would like to be informed in case anyone I come upon has seen it and I can set them straight about anything (which is most likely a lot of it) that is not THE TRUTH. I have challenged the director and producer to do a documentary on the "other side of the story", the X-JW one. Always nice to hear both sides of the story. Haven't heard from them yet. Go figure. Have a great memorial day weekend everyone...Gary and I are spending it with our newlywed son (May 5) and his wife and her parents. ta ta...mumsy
