You want pro-JW opinion? As far as I know only spike and I are actively on here atm pitchard stopped frustrated at the 10 post limit. Anyone else doesn't usually because it isn't a friendly place to be for pro-Jws. You get vilified for supporting Jw's and called 'trevor' for some reason.

To be honest these sites have taught me there is much proof that apostates are actively trying to destroy the Jw's as a faith and extremely ruthless.
In my innocence a year ago I could not imagine people continuing to be active witnesses with only one goal of stumbling people out of the witnesses yet many have admitted to it on this very site.
The anti-witness rhetoric of these sites could easily influence the innocent not knowing how selective much of it is. And how they start by deconstructing witnesses but that leads to deconstructing the bible hense why so many ex-witnesses have not been able to retain a belief in Jehovah. These sites are not only anti-witness but also Anti-God and I was surprised at that, although maybe I shouldn't have been
As to why I am disobedient is for my own conscience but I will not whine about it if I get rebuked for it, I accept the consequences of my choice including God's disaproval.
If I commited adultery I would also accept rebuke. We go into the witneses knowing what they preach

and what proof do you have isaac that it's that and not birth that is the correct translation? other than that your theology demands it! so any reference to Jesus being born or birthed like provs 8, like first born, like begotten and called God's son have to be explained away. To fit in with your theology.

in it, i stated that at matthew 24 jesus warned his followers against seeing wars, earthquakes and famines as being signs.
i have not wavered from that position, which i have given in my posts here at times.. .

7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
What are birth pangs? they are the signs of birth coming, that labour is starting, they are warning to look for. Birth may not be for a while yet but birth pangs are a warning to be ready for it. To grab your bag, jump in the car and get doing the breathing exercises with your wife.

i quit as i was learning the lies of the watchtower organization.. i used to smoke between 1 and 3 packs a day depending on whether i went drinking or not.. .
i didn't really quit for the religion, but as i was learning it.. i swore to quit when cigarettes got to cost me more than a buck a pack.
Good scriptures spike. This is the difference between maturity of understanding principles of the bible and those that want loopholes to get away with what they know God would not approve of. Tobacco became too big an issue and to confirmed as completely against our bodies and other people's that passive smoke.
If you only smoke in your own home do you think of your wife and kids who become passive smokers to your smoke?
That governments started banning such a lucrative tax option means the health costs are completely against smoking.

i am meeting a coworker tonight at a coffee shop for a "bible study".
it started out that she was interested in my past and my current questions / viewpoints and we were just going to visit.
now she is referring to it as a "bible study" which implies that she thinks i need to be taught.

I agree completely with the Jw's on this one.
Would you agree if you have an illness as a direct result of your self-inflicted smoking habit, health services could refuse you or make sure non-smokers are given preference?
When smoking related illnesses in people are causing millions of pounds of health costs and hours of man-power should we be so accepting?
