I hate to say this, but has anyone else noticed that firefly and worldly girl81 have the same IP address hash of 2fqkIwGHAVy7jCkl? So they are either using the same computer or are behind the same NAT firewall.

And their style of writing is similar as well....

wordly girl 81: "Hi Skeeter. In response to your question, his wife and i had been friends......."

firefly: "Hi sixofnine. in reply to your last statement,...."

Hmm, maybe I'm just being paranoid after the whole Linda/Trev thing.

Update on my life =(

and the past 4 months we have been having problems.

i posted on the board in the past about the first incident.. but we decided to work on it since she seemed genuinely remorseful... it is hard to beleive now that she abandoned all her morals, her religion, family and friends to persue this pipe dream..... it all started out like this.

but i guess the little things like that meant nothing.

From reading your post, I can see how much your wife means to you and just how much you love her.

However, theres a saying that "we teach people how to treat us", or something like that. In other words, there is such a thing as being too nice and too forgiving.

You wife has hurt you and effectively cheated on you even just by sending those texts and nude pictures, and you forgave her again and again. If you forgive her for sleeping with "Danny", she is only going to do it again with someone else.

As much as it hurts now, you need to cut the strings and let her go, otherwise she is only going to keep walking all over you.

You're still young. Get out while you can.

It's official (family-wise) I am an apostate

i was having lunch last week with my mom and she dropped the a-word on me.

my mom started off the lunch speaking about what a disappointment i was to her that my wife and i had put our little girl into a christian private school.

i posted on an earlier thread that my wife and i now have a 6 year old beautiful little girl that we're adopting.

I get that too. My two older brothers are unbaptized unlike myself. They both swear, drink, and live with their respective partner and kids out of wedlock. One of them recently criticized my mum for spending time with them considering all this and she replied that she doesn't care - they can tell dirty jokes and drink and swear like troopers around her and thats ok because it doesn't bother her.

My brother's partner also recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, and all of a sudden my 3 JW sisters come out of the woodwork wanting to visit them and meet the new adidtion to the family. Yet none of my sisters will have contact with me because I dared to live with my now wife before we married last year! WTF!!

And my mother has repeatly warned me that if I were to be DF or DA myself that she would have to limit her association with me! WTF!!!! My (worldly) wife cannot for the life of her get her head around this thinking, and I don't blame her.

Beards and bald heads

what do you think about the wts prohibition on beards?

currently in the us, i think a brother can wear a beard, he just won't be used in the congregation.

i see all references in the wt to beards are in a negative light, such as the supreme court upholding a supermarket chains no beards rule.

Going back about 7 years now, there was a (white) bro in my congregation who came to the meeting one day with his head shaved. I can't remember exactly the story of why, I think it was due to some practical joke at a party or something like that, so he had to shave the rest of his hair off.

Anyway, the elders removed him from privileges (he usually helped out with sound) and ordered him to wear a hat when out of field service until his hair grew back, lest he bring reproach upon the borg.

On the subject of beards - the only person I remember having a beard in my cong was an elders wife. She must have been at least 70 I think, and had way too many hairs growing from her chin. It was very disturbing when looking at her. I think the elders definitely should have counseled her for that!
