  I drifted away in January of this year and only two pioneer sisters have been by a couple of times.No elders at all.I say just go ahead and live your life the way you want to and don't worry about what they say or do.See what mind control can do to people?

  that is, to find disfellowshipped people who need support or advice?

  if you've been to meetings since being disfellowshipped, i take it you'll know that they all sit at the back and leave straight away so they are easy to spot.

  i continued to attend for several months after being disfellowshipped and met up with several disfellowshipped persons, although i had to attend several times as they didn't appear to make all the meetings (they must be spiritually weak or something lol).

  Just the thought of standing there singing those kingdom melodies about the love among them is repulsive to me.It is all such a bunch of hogwash I wouldn't want to be there for any reason.

  after watching newbies come on board and say hi, i realized that i had never done that myself.

  i have enjoyed reading the posts, and i am sure that i will continue to do so.

  of course we all relate to some more than others, but i enjoy them all the same.. my background consists of growing up as a witness, with my immediate family very involved.

  We share similar backgrounds.My immediate family was also involved in the "truth" when I was growing up.Four of us were baptized and the rest only went to the meetings and studied.Now no one in my family has anything to do with it.I feel bad for all the ones on this board who are being shunned by their family.

  I don't know much about steam engines but I just have to comment that that is one of the prettiest ones I have ever seen! I don't believe I've ever seen one so pretty here in the United States.Thank you for posting that lovely picture!

  What's with the new Luxurious K.H's?!

  i spent the better part of yesterday afternoon driving from one k.h.

  to the next here in the dallas area (hey you current jw's in dallas, those lambs and flyers were from me!

  ) and was shocked to find the congregation i attended with my family, central/white rock, is now some oriental temple!

  Hey Lin,

  Did you make your way to the Mesquite Central Hall on I-20? Those uppety sons of bit#%es could use some of that literature you were distributing.I always felt out of place because I drove a 1995 model car and all the other ones on the lot were new.They also have the best clothes and live in fine homes.All that talk about living a simplistic life is baloney.And if you are not on their economic level they leave you out of everything.This has been my experience anyway.When I was a teenager I went to the old Dallas Central Hall when it was over on San Jacinto St.,way back in the sixties.I think it is boarded up now.

  I have been inactive since this past January and two pioneer sisters have been by twice to try talking me into going back.No elders have been by.As far as witnesses coming by in service,I doubt if my territory has been worked in the last three years.

  I'm not from Dallas but I have lived here for 35 years.Originally I'm from Ashland,Kentucky.When I was a teenager I attended the Dallas Central cong. on San Jacinto.The last cong. I attended was the Mesquite Central cong.
