JW sister tells me about 1975- amnesia strikes again!
by moshe inshe came in the jw world in 1966 with her mother- she was 6 years old.
she graduated from high school in 1976. during the 90 minutes i spent with her yesterday, she mentioned that the org never said the end was coming in 1975-" it was just a few who said that and they all left after 1976- which was good- because jah needed to cleanse the kh of all who were serving with just a date in mind.. i asked her, "don't you remember the assembly talk from 1969 or 1970, where the speaker said, "stay alive until 75"- no she didn't remember.. i explained that our kh had a co tell us from the platform," brothers there is only 18 months left until armageddon- wow, she exclaimed.. i continued my story, "the po's 16 year old son quit school in 1974- to become a regular pioneer- he was held up as a fine example in the cong- and used as an example at a circuit assembly that year of someone who putting jehovah's work first.
didn't you have some who quit school to pioneer back then?".

Just like every other failure of the WTBTS they are conitioned to accept it as part of Gods plan and testing of obedience. I would like to totally hear a jw view on the generation dogma change. The more I read on the board the more bizarre it sounds, but do need more evidence as to what is being said at the meetings and among the dubbys.

Interesting question to ask a Witness
by sabastious inif you are ever in a situation where a witness is seemingly interested in what you have to say and believe ask them this question:.
"if what you believed about the witnesses and the watchtower organzation was false and there was no hope of paradise or anything else, would you want to find that out?
or would you like to be kept in blissful ignorance and die believing it was all true.".

cold steel has a point .A while back I did start an arrogant skeptic thread because of posters discussing experiences were immediately faced with personal attacks . Just because you don't have experiences doesn't mean everybody is sick or stupid that does.I bet I've had experiences that would out do most .

by booby inin the february watchtower a word search to the pdf found only two references to "faithful and discreet slave" and zero yes zero to governing body.. not sayin much effort is required to find lottsa goofy stuff, but just surprised.
they must be reading and diseminating this web site..

jesus is in control of the church according to scripture, even beating the evil slave which I think is over due at this time since they did give his sovereignty to the scarlet beast (UN) and attacked anyone that exposed or mentions it .

Yep I do remember those articles about obedience to the tower equal obedience to jehovah since they are his channel of communication . Jesus does however get lost in translation again despite the fact that they know he was given all authority in heaven and earth.
