I think they made 144,000 excuses for there being more than was called but the bible does say many are called yet few are chosen . they do say that just because some died due to being murdered does not mean they were accepted the spotless sacrifice and were not acceptable . That's how I see the whole thing in the end it's how they die , natural causes is not acceptable the bible talks of them as being sacrifices on the alter in heaven , I exclude women since they are not allowed to preach the kingdom good news and the apostle paul referred to them as merely being saved thru , faith child bearing and sanctification provided they have a soundness of mind .

by nolongerconfused ini've always thought about this but have never received an answer on how the wbts explaiend the phenomenon.... to my understanding, every member of the wbts had the heavenly hope...however, by 2 classes were created...the heavenly, and earthly hope.... does anyone know the number of jw's as of that famous assembly of 1935 where the earthly hope was revealed and imposed?.
what is the wbts explanation for the thousands of jw's who had heavenly hope now all of a sudden have the earthly hope?.
this leads me to one conclusion...how dare this or any other organization determine what your hope or believe should be...shame on them.

that is one of the strangest things about this cult is they invite people of all faiths to come to this thing then spend most of the night helping them understand how the ritual does not include them ........... they want to keep most of the partakers in the closet , so insulting it's just not right , so and so is nuts or ignorant , yadda yadda . they are a strange lot alright , I studied with one for over a year and all he had was the familiar ,it's just some sort of knowing answer , he was and probably still is an elder . I asked him if he ever saw spirits and he said no , apparently normal people can't see spirits , they think you are nuts just for that or demonically possesed , the SOB made me extremely mad one thursday night and I never have anything to do with the religion anymore , I was never convinced he was, "special", in any way . I was in a state of mind to give them yet one more chance to prove they were better than what I read on this board but it all turns out to be true .

I think what's spurring this on is the discovery of underwater cities , I think the belief from the WTBTS was that the world prior to the flood was the one continent that had no mountain ranges and was flat so possibly easier to imagine a flood that caused the seperation into 7 continents and the pressure on the crust caused the mountain ranges to appear . sorry I did read the creation book LOL

not bragging in anyway, but i was born-into a family of 'higher ups' im talking co's and zo's..... and there is a room that they set up in the conventions/stadiums called the "chairmans office".
i always have access to these rooms, because im usually with one of my higher up family members who give talks and all that other crap.. anyways, while everyone in the convention is sitting in the sun, eating a slimy, soggy bolognia sandwich, the chairmans office is air conditioned, has a variety of chilled beverages, 'coke, pepsi, diet coke, gatorade, dasani water bottles,' not to mention the 'danishes, sandwich triangles, cookies, cakes, muffins, fresh coffee, and for lunch, pizza, salads, pastas, and lasagna'.

the want for too much control , I gotta agree with those here. They'd crap on you if you didn't wash your car or shave or if your suit was rinkled or you had BO , the sneaking around behind your back looking for an excuse to defame you to elders . Blatant hypocrisy runs rampant , then we get to all those dogma changes and the complete denial it was dogma to begin with , the governing body will deny being sanctimonious when clearly when they want all this obedience and substitute themselves for JC , to me a clear cut case of self agrandizement . It was clearly false prophesy when they promised that the kingdom would come before the generation of 1914 died off but they won't even take accountability for it and again deny they said it when it was on the back of the cover of every WT mag written for almost a hundred years . Then they get themselves ensnared with the UN but rather than apologize and repent they use the gag order of warning people not to answer questions nor ask any .WOW now there's some freedom in christ for you . trying to prove anything from the bible is difficult , no one can prove moses or the exodus , I think the flood story is just as hard if not harder but at least he's not wasting his time chasing loch ness monster or chupa cabre stories .LOL sounds interesting to me

I really think the WTBTS should show humility here and ask forgiveness for their many short comings in regard to false prophesy and dogma changes , what about the generation of 1914 , they promised all those people eternal life and what did they get?, replaced with the hope of resurrection . there's the UN issue as well sice they apperently seem to be associated with it but wasn't that the scarlet beast ? Now if you went and associated with organizations not even as horrific as they made that one out to be you would DF in a heart beat . Now I know I challenged the beliefs and all I got was insults and defamation . They just come back with the sanctimonious angle of we are the FDS and you aren't.
