I tried clicking the link but did not go to a web site .I guess I couldn't criticise them as long as it doesn't turn out like the miracle wheat where somehow buying a washer from them imparts your home with holy spirit.

i tell you what this is one cool mini series .anyone here claim to be abducted ?they say the show is based on accounts reported by people claiming to be taken .

we cannot be convicted for murdering a chimpanzee even though the chimpanzee has a dna matching 99.6% of ours.

I would add that since we are aware and conscious as to there being a human being in their earlier developing stages that any interference with the natural order could be and should be constituted as murder.The US constitution even guarantees the right to life ,liberty and persuit of happiness.It does however seem to involve a sense of morality .I can't help but wonder how many exeptional people had their life cut off before they even had a chance.

IMO- Life begins at conception .What makes us human is the fact that we have a conscience and the ability to reason ,animals can only act by instinct and cannot determine a right from a wrong course of action to take.As far as the spiritual part the catholic church can't prove their statement .Jesus did say in order to be saved you must be born again of the spirit.

Singing in the Kingdon Hall - laughing
by Pepper inoh my god, i went to a meeting a year ago, with my girl friend, in a town back east i live in utah, i sing in night clubs and bars and have a really great time.
i go to the hall and it comes time to sing, now i am used to really letting it all hang out when i sing, so i give it all i got, i seen all these's heads turn and look at me, they could tell right off the bat that i am not a good jw cause i have a beard like jesus wears, but i know the tunes because i was raised listioning to them, i loved it, they don't really sing i noticed, its sad, cause singing could be so much a part of worship, but its like you can't even do that cause if your a good singer you might stumble the others cause it may be competion, what a bunch of bs, the po, looked down his nose cause i was singing like i had life in me .

Yeah , I noticed this myself when I was studying and going to meetings .These people are the worst singers on the planet and at the same time try to explain how important singing is in worship.Someone around here already pointed out that the bible says that singing was a form of therapy ,the selection of songs that should be sung was based on an individuals state of mind such as if one was overjoyed they would sing songs that would express their happiness or if they were saddend they would sing songs that would up lift or express their sorrow over transgression. It seems with them however that the wt has taken the responsibility of determining how people in every congregation should feel . Interesting

JW's deny jesus as being king before 1914
by heathen ini ventured to the local hall here last week and when time to discuss the watchtower a guy made a comment that the wt only believes that jesus became king in 1914.now i have read the bible and do have an interest in what it says despite my handle on this site and i have noticed that the apostles made clear that christ was king of heaven and earth in their day at least until the last apostle died .this just looks like typical crap that would only lead me to further arguement with them and in the end being demonized .anyone else with thoughts on the subject ?

Sangdigger - I really only needed to see the scripture that I quoted to see what you are talking about .I do not see evidence for a trinity belief anywhere in the bible so what is more acceptible has got to be something different than what appears .I mean if jesus cried out to God while he was dying ( saying my God my God why have you foresaken me) It makes no sense that he should be talking about himself .Jesus never claimed to be God but merely a servant of God .If anyone has suggested anything that cannot be proven thru the scriptures then I cannot sit here and pretend to believe it myself.At times I don't believe things people claim the scripture says either, as I've already mentioned by starting this thread. Feel free to add any other comments .Thank you for your input.

Sangdigger- One could argue that if jesus had not accended to heaven then again how could he have been in paradise with the crimminal? I mean hanging around here haunting the living would not be considered paradise I don't think. Besides that he did not offer the guy a place at his right hand as he did to all the apostles and the saints .Now I am looking at the scripture JOHN 2:19 .It does say I will raise it up which does sound as if jesus resurected himself (never really examined it that closely) .I definately need to give this a look at.I have noticed what you are talking about as far as the reference to a spirit that somehow is disembodied at the time of death and am aware of the watchtower teaching on the immortality of the soul and the belief that the spirit is the life force within the flesh .Jesus definately said only those born of the spirit could inherit the kingdom of the heavens.You definately raised some good questions that I will look into a bit further at my leisure.

Although I believe that all religion are cults I do believe the bible account to be very interesting .I realize also that people have tampered with it and tried incessantly to force their beliefs on others.The constant attempts to mix church and state has only added to human suffering through out history .The message of love your neighbor as yourself is a verry profound reality .There cannot be peace on earth unless people take that message to heart and treat each other with love and understanding rather than contempt with only selfish intent.The bible is very unique in that everytime secular science has challenged the historical accuracy they seem to find new evidence that supports the accuracy of the events and people mentioned in it .For example the fact that king Nebochadnezzar existed was first aknowledged in the bible and later proven as fact .Senacharib of Asseria was also challenged and later without any question evidence to support his existance surfaced.Who knows what else will surface ?If they ever get the chance to escavate the site where babylon is in Iraq more thoroughly it would be a very intersesting endeavor cause if I remember correctly they did find evidence to support the tower of babel episode in the form of an ancient plaque of some kind which they dated to that erra.Only time will tell .
