  the april 15 issue of the watchtower carries an article entitled two pastors who appreciated russell's writings in which they claim that there was written support for the writings of c t russell from two leading evangelicals.. the names of the pastors (both waldensians) were daniele rivoire and guiseppe banchetti.

  according to the watchtower, early in the twentieth century, banchetti wrote: "i say that none of us evangelicals, not even our pastors or theology professors, nobody knows everything.

  why jehovahs witnesses keep knocking on your door.

  jehovahs witnesses keep coming to your door because they dont want you to be destroyed at armageddon.. all members believe they belong to the only true religion and every religion except theirs is from the devil, and that god will destroy everyone for not being a jehovahs witness at armageddon.

  if they stop preaching they are told they too will perish because they didnt warn their neighbor, and will be held blood guilty for their deaths at armageddon.. they have been conditioned to have great faith in the watchtower and to let the watchtower control their life and their thinking, to them this is a matter of life, or eternal death.

  I think it would be very suitable as a "letter to the editor".
  Its your story, its heartfelt and actually a bit softer than some of the faith based letters I have seen in our local paper. It would help people see that witnesses are being trained by an organization and not doing this on their own. They are victims who are being manipulated and used. The information you are providing is true.
  I dont think its "anti-witness" at all.
  Maybe a little "anti-Watchtower" society but I think thats what we are all trying to prove.
  Good luck getting it in print.

  Insightful information. Thank you for posting it.
  I usually cant spend a ton of time on the computer so I have to keep my comments pretty short and to the point. If I posted all my thoughts I would be here all night. Im still trying to figure out if this poster is genuine. I hope so because the issues are.

  I think some people are insensitive because they have never lost someone they love because of a false biblical teaching. They only read about the deaths in Wathtowers etc. They are only statistics to them. It is very frustrating.
  I try not to be angry at the witnesses since they are victims of the society also. It is hard when they say things that to me seem arrogant and insensitive.
  I may sound repetitive bringing up my grandfather but Im trying to make them realize that this is important and actual people are dying here ya' know?

  i am the poster formerly known as yoyomama...i had to use my name since simon keeps deleting any registration with "yoyo" in it.. i mentioned earlier that i've had a horrible day, this is why:.

  my wife had a miscarriage over night.

  we've been trying to conceive for over a year and we finally made it, but it has ended in a very disappointing way.... i did not think it would affect me as it did, but it did.. thanks billygoat for your interest.. peace to all, i promise no more outbursts (not even if i'm provoked).

  The bible also says absatain from fat in the very next paragraph. Do you currently have any fat in your diet? This is obviously a dietary law.
  The bible also says in Corinthians not for a woman to cut her hair because it is her covering. Have you ever had a hair cut?
  Obviously certain things are not to be taken literal.
  The thing is,
  I believe the in the bible, I do not believe in an organization that lies.
  The more research you do on the Organization, the more you will see where we are comming from.

  Somthing isnt right.
  Reading your first comment you refer to yourself as a "young highschool girl"
  Everyone knows that if you are really in high school your opinion of yourself is everything but "young".
  When I was in highschool I thought I knew it all and I was proud to be almost old enough to move out etc. I would have never called myself "young" It would have been an insult. The only people who refer to people in high school as "young" are older people, out of high school.
  I smell a rat.
