D8TA,
I dont have ill feelings twards witnesses in general. It is the society and the control it has over its members which bothers me.
I dont agree with many of the J.W. teachings that hurt and break apart families like disfellowshipping and shunning. I hope I can someday set aside my feelings twards the society which caused my grandfather to make the choice which ended his life. It doesnt eat away at me but if someone brings up the blood issue I usually get pretty upset or angry. The whole thing just seems so unfair. I honestly believe that if the society changed some of their doctrines and permitted everyone to undergo any nessessary medical treatments, I could just ignore the fact that they exist but until then I feel this need to make sure others are hearing about the risks of becomming involved in this religion.
You are a strong person to be able to let go of the anger. The posts I have read of yours have always seemed very fair. I dont think you need to change at all. Anyone who knows me personally would probably tell you that I am not an angry person. They may tell you that I dont usually give up on things and am very stubborn though.
I have to tell you, when I first started reading your post I was afraid you were going to tell us you were leaving or something.
Anyway, Im glad its not the case.
P.S. Very handsome pic!

AINT GOING TO HAPPEN!
by D8TA inhis three boats stove around him, and oars and men both whirling in the eddies; one captain, seizing the line-knife from his broken prow, had dashed at the whale, as an arkansas duellist at his foe, blindly seeking with a six inch blade to reach the fathom-deep life of the whale.
that captain was ahab.
and then it was, that suddenly sweeping his sickle-shaped lower jaw beneath him, moby dick had reaped away ahab's leg, as a mower a blade of grass in the field.

Dakota,
You are so right.
I would kill to be able to just shower and go in the morning.
My husband said to me the other day, "Well, you just relax in the tub for twenty minutes". Yea right, Im working in there! Most of us girls shave 70% of our bodies. Not to mention, shampoo and condition, Blowdry and curl, then makeup. Exhausting! No wonder we get crabby. -

This Board and JWs
by comforter inat one time, this board seemed to be fair.
but i no longer think that it is, to jws, at least.
ex-jws here can cuss, insult, say fu to everybody they don't like, and call jws pedophiles.

Everyones different.
There is negativity everywhere. You cant escape negativity. Well, maybe in fairy tales. Then again, Humpty Dumpty did fall off the wall. I guess theres no escaping it.
You and I both know there is also allot of truth here. Unfortionatly the truth hurts sometimes. -

Someone on this board also sent me a virus however it was not intentionally sent. Many viruses once givin to someone send themselves to everyone in the computers address book without the users knowledge. The reason I found this out is because after I had gotten rid of the virus, it had already sent itself to almost everyone in my address book. I felt awful since it sent itself to many of my friends and family. It also used addresses in my address book as the "senders address". example, I got one from myself to myself. This "Alan F" may not actually be the sender but could have been in someones address book along with your e-mail address. Very sneaky these buggers are.
Although not to rule out that there are some crazies out there who probably love sending these things, Im sure if someone was the actual sender of the virus they wouldnt include their own e-mail address as the "from" for the whole world to know. Unless of course they are as dumb as they are deranged. -

letter read last night at all meetings
by annalice ini just talked to a friend who is still a jw and she said there was a letter read last night at her k.hall that said that what was on dateline was a lie and not to listen to it.
i asked her if she watched the show and she said yes she had and she couldn't believe the lies that they told.
she also said " oh but did you see that girl erica larson was wearing a cross on her necklace?

Uhhh,
Yea right.
Shes a liar...Lets see,, the rapist was proven guilty in a court of law twice. That would not have happend if there was any doubt whatsoever. Even O.J.s case was dismissed and everyone knew he did it. There must have been massive evidence in order for this case to be proven and proven again, especially at such a late date.
Letter or no letter, Im sure whoever watched it got the picture. Even if they arent admitting it to themselves or others, Im sure many are thinking about what was said on the program. -

As if its about the world wide preaching effort.
They say that every year. Why would they want to keep it from the public?! They are hiding something! I know it!!
