i was speaking with a lady today & found out she's been a nurse in the blood transfusion unit at our hospital for the past 15 years.
i said, "i have an off-the-wall question for you...i was having a discussion with somebody about jehovah's witnesses.
i know they're not allowed to get blood transfusions but they can get fractions, right?
And I'm angered that Witnesses are allowed to take the blood fractions that others have so kindly donated. Yet they refuse to donate blood.
Yep I raised a similar point with a Ministerial servant, his response was that the hospital would use all the primary 'banned' fractions for transfusion and not just the WTBS permitted fractions. OK, I suggested that if he were to accept a minor fraction wouldn't he rather it came from a JW than a 'Worldly' !!
how can jw's confess belief in jesus christ when they do not believe in his own words when he speaks of heaven???
jesus compared heaven in many parables, yet the jw's claim that the "new earth" is where they are going.
also, the belief that jesus was here in 1914(?
Christians follow their Lord Jesus Christ, NOT, the Governing Body !!!
everything jw's teach comes from the bible only.

If with the voice of the archangel supports Jesus being Michael
then using the same logical construct, trumpet call of God supports Jesus being God

In terms of worshipping Jesus, perhaps the following scriptures might assist:
John 5:23 (NWT):
23 in order that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He that does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.
Philip 14:8 (NWT)
8 Philip said to him: “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”
9 Jesus said to him: “Have I been with YOU men so long a time, and yet, Philip, you have not come to know me? He that has seen me has seen the Father [also]. How is it you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

in the "blood dvd" the org says "that although we will not accept practises that go against our religion (blood transfusion), as jw's we do still wish to have the very best medical treatment avaliable to us.." but the majority of witlesses wont let themselves, their children or other members go to uni to become docters/surgions etc.
please explain????.
Please also explain why JWs CAN ACCEPT minor fractions from donated blood yet are NOT PERMITTED to donate their own blood for others to benefit from the minor fractions !!!

First off, in questioning the Lord Jesus on the subject of the resurrection, the Sadducee's refer to people UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES, i.e. in the "Old" Covenant.
Hence,
"Teacher, MOSES wrote for us that..." (verse 28).
Of course - as you're well aware - the Watchtower teach that such people will be resurrected to a 1000-year "trial" (Judgement Day) on EARTH. They also teach that, through disobedience, such resurrectees can be punished WITH DEATH.
But look at the Lord Jesus' response to their example, He says that such,
"...CANNOT EVEN DIE ANYMORE, BECAUSE THEY ARE LIKE ANGELS..." (verse 36, caps mine)
But surely - according to Watchtower teaching - the above statement ONLY applies to the 144,000?
See the contradiction?

The next time a JW tries to use John 1:1 (NWT) to show that Jesus is just simply "a god" (small 'g'), refer them to Isaiah 9:6 and ask them to explain which one of the renderings is correct. If they claim both are correct. Ask them to explain how a "Mighty God" has now become "a god'. Sounds like a demotion to me!

i asked my jw friend (who is my best friend, and i hers, long story, don't ask how it's possible) a question about matthew 22:23. actually, i asked her the same question the sadducces asked jesus.. long story short, she couldn't really answer me, but asked a couple follow up questions.

Unlike the WT, of course, who claim that obedience to Jehovah during a 1000-year trial is additionally required to secure eternal life.
