Nothing scares a JW more than talking about Jesus.
If only I were joking.
grandma is concerned about my spirituality, worried i don't use lingo like "faithful slave", "annointed elders", "waiting on jehovah, endure the bafflegabbing, prevaricating lying friends" .
"you speak too much about love, use jesus of nazareth's name too much!
you speak the way apostates speak!
Nothing scares a JW more than talking about Jesus.
If only I were joking.
cause i just read genesis chaper 6 and i didn't see it.
or am i missing something?.
Think of all those children who were drowned by Jehovah.
big news - i met with the elders last night.
they were not arrogant and they were not mean spirited, but of course we all know they also would not budge from the jw brainwashed beliefs they are sworn to uphold.
i let my light shine, and within two minutes of sitting down with them was no longer nervous.. .
RayPublisher: One more thing, it will get better. The first two months or so can be extremely stressful with sleepless nights and lots of anxiety. Slowly, but surely, your life will cease to revovle around things related to the WT. Many things that now seem like a BFD will simply be an amusing memory within a few years. Hang in there. You're not alone.

By next week, you'll be an ex-JW. Congratulations and welcome to the rest of your life.
i know that all everyone's experience vary but i ask this because i am under the impression that since jw's are taught to avoid reading material that may be critical of their teachings they just stay away.
yet many of you violated this at some point to come accross information that confirmed or convinced you of "the problems" with the org.
i have also spoken to active jw's online who seem to know the controvercies but still defend the org vigorously.
TTATT is the reason that I left.
my elder buddy and i would frequent strip clubs when we wanted to.. a few friends knew i enjoyed clubbing and music concerts and i seldom ever spoke of my private social life to others.. i know many jws, including elders, that drank excessively but that wasn't considered too big a deal..
Almost every Bethelite I knew would have been kicked out of Bethel, had they given a full report of their activities.
This is not a reflection upon them as bad people, IMHO. It's a reflection of the stupid rules at Bethel.
Many of the Bethel rules are unrelated to what is defined as 'sin' by the Watchtower. However, breaking such rules could get you booted.
Example: Allowing friends or family to stay overnight inside your Bethel room.
well i figured i should give you all an update.
they will be dfing me soon for apostasy.
it is not a huge surprise and i am not afraid nor "shaking in my boots", however i will admit it is stressful right now.
RayPublisher: In the long run, you'll be glad it's all over. Those people cannot be your friends. They are afraid that Jehovah will kill them, so they must choose him over you, every time. Within a year, you'll realize that you don't actually have much in common with them, anyway.
jesus said that the true religion would be evident in the lives of the people who practice it.
by their fruits you will recognize them, he said.
every good tree produces fine fruit.
"True Religion" = Destructive Cult
reading a thread from just a few months ago, made me realise that a lot of people who used to be regular contributors here no longer do so.. i know that people have always moved on, as the anger and hurt get less, as the wt mind-set totally disappears, we feel the need to come here less and less, but because of the intelligence, insight, wit and wisdom of these people, the board is somewhat impoverished each time one of these moves on.. this is a plea to all who post now, and some who still read but don't post, please do not leave us entirely, the contributions on here are literally life-saving for many.
it is easy to get dangerously suicidal when the whole wt pack of cards falls down for you.. please do not become a stranger to us !.
slimboyfat: Wobble is doing well.
let's assume, as most of you probably believe, that the anointed christians are not the fds.
if the anointed are not the fds, who are?.
In your summary, you assert that I cannot produce a better Scriptural viewpoint. For me, it's much more simple. I've examined your claim, and it's not believable. I'm not persuaded by the evidence. I don't feel any need to take it any further. You evidently do find the evidence to be persuasive, as I once did. I feel that I can relate to your current worldview, as it was once my own.
Very nice website design, by the way.
