bond has turned into "the bourne ulitimatum....or mission impossible 3.. my favourite bond as a kid and today is roger moore....i thought he brought some humor to the role i saw octopussy 12 times....also pierce brosnan was born to be bond with his coolness..

When SHOULD you have "woken up" ?
by wobble ini can look back to a number of occasions when if i had at the time not left my braincells at home on charge, i should have "woken up" and walked from the wtbs.. one such was 15 or 20 yers ago we had a washtowel on daniels prophecy with the really wacky explanations of the 1260 days and 2300 days etc.
i had about 12 questions on this,like what on earth happened on the supposed finish date that marked the fulfillment of a great prophecy,i also had this thing that showed the 2520 years to be crap,i gave the list of questions to 7 or 8 elders,and none of them gave me a decent answer!.
one kindly elder,who has since faded,warned me to be carefull who i showed my questions to,and hinted that he felt it was all suspect too.. what a big banana i was not to wake up then!.

Anybody remember the BS transplant horror stories?
by donny inback in my day, although the ban on organ transplants had just been lifted due to the light getting brighter (gags), i remember the outrageous stories regarding transplants.
one that i will never forget went as follows.
this sister, known for talking a lot, described how this white brother in "another congregation", ignored the society's advice on the matter and went ahead and had a heart transplant.

It seems to me that these notions are usually an expression of ignorance, foolish and perhaps a form of denial. That is--such notions make us feel comfortable in the seeming security that cult members are "them" and could never be "us". Before conducting my research such notions about cultists seemed reasonable to me. However, this issue touched my personal life when a close friend, who was a healthy and well-balanced person, became involved with a cult. There is a body of research regarding the cult recruitment process. It is important to review and discuss the tactics of cult leaders and their proselytizing in an effort to explain and how intelligent psychologically healthy people--can be persuaded to join a destructive cult.

Again and again in my research I have encountered the same phrase: No one joins a cult, rather people are recruited. Philip Zimbardo explains, "People join interesting groups that promise to fulfill their pressing needs. it makes clear that we should trust the faithful and discreet slave because jehovah and jesus trust the "slave".

Along these lines, one ex-JW told me the following:
"If you want to read the really scary/stupid/non-Biblical/insane stuff the Society prints, turn to the Questions from Readers."
There is a lot of truth in that statement. The craziness in the Study Articles is often mild, when compared to the Spiritual Nuggets contained in the Questions from Readers. The insanity contained in those answers doesn't get an hour-long public discussion, much of time.
But...they can always point back to the Questions from Readers articles in a "I Told You So" manner, whenever needed, to put the kibosh on your conscience and freedom.

I think we've officially reached a dead end on this thread. We've begun discussing What If scenarios and we're entertaining ideas of things that will never happen, unless everyone puts on the new personality and Jehovah ushers in a Righteous New System of things.
