  It was wonderful. I will be much more prepared next year. My kids loved it and I got a wonderful gift from my sons-the movie 'Grease' on DVD. My favorite!! Glad to hear your day was lovely too.

  I never agreed with the rules that they imposed on married people involving their intimacy/private life. So, I did what I /we wanted. Guess that's why we're still happily married.

  OMG WTWizard-I totally forgot about the cereals I wasn't supposed to eat. I LOVE Lucky Charms. My mom would buy those cereals for us-thank goodness. But once someone from the hall came over while we were eating breakfast and 'counseled' her about the cereal. Now, I look back on it and can't imagine 'counseling' an adult about what cereal they are feeding their family.

  Once at the Sunday meeting, the sister in front of me's cell phone went off. Her ring tone was "My humps" by Fergie. She couldn't find her phone and it seemed to go on forever. Too Funny!

  Thank you everyone. Your insight has put given me some perspective on a very frustrating situation.

  Snakes: You are right about the picketing/TV. They would just say 'see we told you those apostates are crazy!' And my feelings have changed since I first started posting. It is like grieving over the death of a loved one but in my case it feels like the death of a husband and I find out that he has a family hidden across town who showed up for the funeral!

  I know time will ease some of the frustration. My upbringing wasn't nearly as bad as some-my hubby's for instance. He and I decided we will not go to the Memorial this upcoming year. I may have to lighten up on the research for a bit. It is having a negative effect on me, that's for sure.

  Witness 007-Couldn't choke you, you are not the party responsible for this mess. Plus, I'm terrified of jail!! Don't want to become somebody named Irma's B*tch. lol.

  Farkel-I am grateful that I have the real 'truth'. I only wish it had been sooner so I could have enjoyed some of my life. And I am very grateful for websites like this and people like you all who've helped me. It has been a wonderful resource.

  Oompa-I believe I am obsessed. And thanks for letting me in your special club!! I am going to start therapy after the new year. Figure I will make a fresh start in 2009 for me and my family. Sorry about your family turning you in. I'm sure they thought they were helping you stay away from spiritual dangers. Damn Internet-get's all kinds of people in trouble.

  The JW Dress Code

  for the brothers .... suit jacket and pants must always match as part of a complete suit.sport jacket and slacks not permitted.shoes must be polished (i had to go home and change shoes once).shirt should be white or close to white (i.e.

  no dark colored dress shirts).do not wear bright colored suits or suits with more than one color (not including pin stripes).tie should not be bright colored or have too many colors.pants should have cuffs (this was recommended, not a rule).suit jacket must be buttoned up at all times (although you may wait until you begin speaking to button up your jacket).never put your hand in your pocket, even for one second.legs must be close together (his exact words were "do not have a horse stance").heels must be together but toes should be slightly apartif you are holding a microphone, the microphone must be point just above the chin, not at the mouth.if you are holding a microphone, do not put the other hand in your pocket (i cannot stress this enough, they will get you for this).do not lean on the lectern (podium, pulpit).whew!

  Sister's have to wear skirts/dresses that come below the knee. If they sit down and the knee is showing that is inappropriate. Didn't work for me because I have nice legs and love to show them off. My skirts were not tight or indecent, just a little shorter than was required.

  Also, no V-neck shirts/sweaters, etc that would show your cleavage.
