Those sound like the same talks that were given 5 years ago at the last assembly I attended. So, I didn't miss much.

The interior of your vehicle....how do you keep it?
by restrangled inthis subject may seem like fluff, but it really isn't.
in the last 3 days i have been in 3 vehicles, where the floor was not visable, water bottles or garbage were accidently kicked out as i tried to get in.
coffee cups belonging in the house were littered willy-nilly, the passenger seat was loaded with crap, and one vehicle actually held underwear of the persons love interest.

I keep mine clean. My kids leave stuff in it but I try to make sure it's presentable and neat.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I am happy to hear that the KH acted decent towards you and your brother.

Oh, I don't care if the fella's post. I wasn't sure if that was something the 'brothers' were especially concerned about in the KH or Assembly., so I directed it to the ladies.

Hey ladies. Today I was at a luncheon for work and when I went to wash my hands, the sink countertop was all wet. I grabbed some extra paper towel-one sheet only, and wiped off the excess water. It was an immediate trigger to my JW days at the hall and assemblies. Just wanted to know if I am the only one who can't break the habit of wiping off sinks no matter what location I am in, a restaurant, relative's homes, work, etc...

Bound Volumes aka Garbage
by Free inholy shit , i haven't been here for some time.
i recently moved and finally tossed out about 500 lbs of watchtower/awakes and bound volumes going back to the 50's .this sister unloaded them on me before she moved and at the time i thought they were like somekind of holy writings.
i kept a couple of the old ones so i can use them to start fires in my new place.

Yes, I got this 'encouraging' email from my friend. Some time ago, I would have been happy to get it and forwarded it on to others. Now, I just read about two lines of it and hit the DELETE button.

Snapped. It just occurred to me that I REALLY hate my life. Mostly all of it.
by easyreader1970 inhere lately, i have just been wishing that i could just fast-forward through my remaining years on earth and just die to get this nonsense all over with.. i have only myself to blame.
if i had gone through with my attempt to leave this hokey religion about sixteen years ago when i attempted to--before i got married and had kids--then maybe i wouldn't be teetering on the very slippery edge of sanity.
instead i punked out, buckled under the threats of shunning and guilt of abandoning family members, and so here i am--looking into the mirror every morning wondering when the nightmare is going to end.

I'm so sorry that it's like that for you. But please remember you have to be there for your kids. They need you to be strong. It's sad that your wife bases her opinion of a good man on how prepared you are for the meetings. What's more important is what kind of man you are, that you provide for your family, that you are active with your kids, that you encourage good morals and work ethic in them, etc... Hang in there for them, Please.
