They definitly said they were in the outer courtyard, i can't remeber what talk it was though, he started quoting from a watchtower and read it straight off the watchtower disregarding what the scripture actually said. I could not believe it, all the people round me were nodding i know they have no idea about what is being taught. :( oh well.

at the recent dc the new meeting arrangement was mentioned just once, but not to give us further details on how the new meeting will be structured or how the r&f will be cared for.. .
instead the audience was urged not the second guess the gb, being advised to look at how well the spirit has directed the org up until now, so therefore it will do so into the future.. .
but the reality is the congregations are only just over 5 months away from this new meeting arrangement, yet they know little about how it'll actually affect them.. .
I am in England and it has happend here. Fact is they pride themselves on the unity of the organization, everyone studying the same thing. So they need everyone to follow suit so all JW will change get rid of the book study.
just wondering if active jw's on this forum or jw's just watching this board still put into practice in one way or another, shunning?.

its shameful but if you have not left the organization (as i have not) you have no choice but to Shun. I have a very good friend that has been DF'ed and i would love to talk to him as i no longer believe this organization, but i suppose the saying blood is thicker than water comes to mind. I love my family we have been through alot together and i can't give them up, if i speak to him and someoone finds out, i will end up with the same treatment as him. But the good news is i am in the process of leaving i have collected alot of information together explaining why i think this organization is not of God and giving evidence for it, i want them to KNOW exactly why i have left and know that it was for a good reason. I am just not sure when i will do it.

i was in a los angeles cult in the 70s (unrelated to jw) and finally at one point most of the cult members 'woke up' simultaneously & saw that the leaders had been emotionally abusive and oppressive.
once everyone woke up, the entire cult collapsed within days.
a similar thing happened in the communist countries----everyone suddenly got tired of being oppressed.
NTR I am still an active Jehovah’s Witness, although i know a lot of what is taught is incorrect i cant leave as yet because i cant loose my family and they are in VERY deep, that being said the only way that all Jehovah’s Witnesses could ever wake up and smell the coffee so to speak is if there was a sudden realization that the FDS are not who they say they are and that all their book and publications are basically rubbish also if they found out that their Bible is actually a really bad translation that has been changed to fit their belief. The evidence would have to be overwhelming and irrefutable or they will just blame Satan.

hi everyone, i'm new here, been viewing the board for a while, decided to join yesterday.. so i'm about 95% convinced now the wts is bogus, but i'm still in coz as yall know leaving is the hardest part.
i plan on doing a fade to avoid the complete disconnection, but first want to gradually help my gf to see things too.
in the meantime, i'm just wondering how many of you are still "active" jdubs?
I'm still active i have ministry on Sat and a talk on Tuesday not sure how long it will take before i make the decision to leave but should not be too long now. I have alot of family in there though and i dont want to loose them

i have realized lately that i have come to terms in a way regarding the beliefs of the jw's.
for over thirty years, i did my best to be a productive, supporting member of the congregation.
within the last three years there have been a number of deaths in my family.

I saw this video too he is talking about when Satan was thrown from Heaven he shows thats when satan was thrown it was with thunder and lightning. He also said this had to be something that was not just a normal Thunder Storm. I have researched this event and it seems to be quite significant and unique. But you can never be sure about anything.
when i left the witnesses in 1992 after ten years in the orgainzation, i got as far away from the teachings and mindest as i could.
however some, like my former brother-in-law, also left, but are intent on finding ways to reform the society from within since he believes in the society as being of god, but that it has become misguided and is slowly drifting to "christendom" status.
one of the things he cites as evidence is the wtbts become aligned with the united nations.
All i say is that as a witness who grew up in this organization it is very hard to give up something you have been taught since you can remeber. ALL my memories are being a witness at no point in my life can i see a time when i was not. So to leave it behind is to basically leave your life, its a difficult and painful experiance. So you will cling to some of it despirately clinging to what was/is your life.

there is one thing that puzzles me though, why do jws need to believe so badly that jesus was raised in spirit and not in the flesh.

I have looked at the passages of scripture where Mary saw him and the diciples saw him after he was resurrected and its evident why they did not recognize Jesus it was because he made them unable to recognize him and as for Mary she was not even looking at him, when he said to her "Mary!" she turned around. I digress though can anyone tell me why it so important? to me it does not matter either way!
