Music Groups or Singers have you seen in Concert Before ? Your Opinion ?

i've seen a good number , not as many as some, or maybe a few more than others.

here's my list i've seen live !

ottmar leibert - new age / flamenco guitarist - very good show , good percussion and spanish style guitar ( 1993 ) .

I am so old I saw the Beatles on their last tour of the States, in 1966. Saw them in Washington, DC at RFK stadium. It was so fab! Saw The Who got the meet a couple of them & went to see them a few more times loved them, Led Zepplin at least twice, The Young Rascals from NY they were great. Saw Santana at Wintergreen in California, this was the first time I ever saw a band take a break then come back & play for another hour, they were wonderful. I don't know how many times I have seen the Moody Blues they never disappoint but the best concert I saw was at a local club in Virginia that had Justin Hayward from the Moodys with his own band. Just saw Jethro Tull on his 35th year tour, they are still getting it done, even as old guys. I used to live to go to concerts. I just recently saw Future Man from Bela Fleck's band at a Ba-Rock the Vote in Tennessee, he jammed with some of the local bands it was cool. I love a band called Fairport Convention & have seen them many times, they are an English folk rock band that is great live. I won't go on it is late here & I must go to sleep.

I finally said it...It's time for us to get divorce

i asked my wife over the weekend for a divorce...1st let me say that this sight gives support for those affected by the borg - ex-jw's, ubm's etc...but it also consumes some of us.

of this i am guilty.

i have developed such a disdain for the wtbs that i can no longer have a conversation with my wife without attacking her religion.

I stayed in almost 5 years before I saw the light my husband was trying to show me with small questions and suggestions. I was afraid to leave. Afraid of having nothing to believe in, when he asked me for a divorce. It was a difficult choice but in the end I left the dubs not him. We didn't work on the marriage and it was in trouble then but I didn't know it. He has now divorced me just this year, so you never know what is going to happen in the future. We still love each other but couldn't keep it together anymore after the cult. How is your wife taking it? Do you have children? Please consider riding it out if you can for a little while longer. I know I am glad my guy helped get me out. Hope she will see that about you, too. Sorry that you are going through this, divorce is a stressful thing. I don't recommend it to anyone if they can help it, but if it is just getting you so down then who I am to tell you what to do. Wish you well.

You guys are all head bangers, huh? Loved all the videos. Not sure about the Beatles one but understand the message about the Secret! Must add Jimi Hendrix Machine Gun. Also want to mention Sarah Mclachlan's "Building A Mystery" and "World On Fire."

As far as awaking a JW, I had a part in keeping a close friend who had just picked up her study again & just joined the school to give her first talk. She called us because a friend of ours had died and they gave her our phone number. I was married at the time so my hubby got on the phone with me and we both told her all we could think of to keep her from going back to give that talk. She stopped her study and didn't go back to the meetings ever again. She had just retired early from a Defense Dept job in DC. So, she wanted to pursue her hobbies & get right with God. Now she is able to paint, make dolls, and work her garden without having all those pesky meetings interfering with her time. She was really grateful to us helping her to stay clear of the wt beast. I called another old bible student that also had just restarted her study again. She had been born into a witness family. She wouldn't listen but maybe she never did anything about it. I lost track of her. I can only hope. We all plant seeds to help them leave. Hope more will join us out here. Remember you lurkers out there, Come to the dark side "We have cookies!"

Who's best James Bond for you? And favourite bond movie or moment?

new flash i did not like quantum of solice 2008.....first ever bond movie that did not work for me, trying to make it a part two of casino royale?

bond has turned into "the bourne ulitimatum....or mission impossible 3.. my favourite bond as a kid and today is roger moore....i thought he brought some humor to the role i saw octopussy 12 times....also pierce brosnan was born to be bond with his coolness..

Come on you young people, Sean Connery was the best Bond ever! He had the best bond women in and of his bed. Even as an old guy he is still hot! Then, Pierce is my second fave. He did such a good job, GoldenEye, WOW. I haven't seen the new movie yet but have heard pros and cons about it. As a follower of all the Bonds I will go to see it soon.

I am working on being a better person now that I am outside of the wt. I am usually content in whatever sitiuation I am in. I was fairly happy as a dub but when I started to find out all the lies we were told & started to look at the examples on the assembly programs they used. My eyes started to open and pull back the veil to reveal the real "truth." They didn't have it. Now I can be tolerant of all I meet without having to feel like I was superior to them. I have my weekends mostly free of bothering others at their homes with something most of them don't want to hear. It is refreshing to breathe the air of freedom from mind control, isn't it? Now, I really can concentrate on getting my life together without my mate. That is what I am really doing most of the time now.

I love inkling's explaination and visual. The dictionary says it is an arch of the heavens; sky. Other translations say sky or arch or heavens. I kept the Bible in 26 translations in the divorce. One day I will revisit the Bible. Just not now.

We were hippies. He moved into the house I was living in the rent a room. He worked in a Health food store. Had wonderful long, dark curly hair and sparkly green eyes, with such curious ideas about love. That was so many years ago it is hard to really remember since we were always stoned. It was the seventies. What can I say? Don't think it will be the same with the next one I meet.

Did anyone hear that not being married cuts off 9 years of your life?

heard this on the tv tonight that married people live 9 years longer than single people.

another reason to be pissed at my ex for divorcing me.

oh well, he is left handed and they live less time than right handers.

Farkel, it is a new divorce after over 35 years and more together counting the time we lived together before we married. I love left handed people they are very creative and I have had many as friends. No, it doesn't make me feel better, I just wanted to say something mean. He doesn't come on here anymore but his new woman is a member. I am working through the pain of being alone for the first time in my life. I don't like it. I miss having someone to talk to and not just tell me what I want to hear, like girlfriends tend to do. How long did it take to get over the sadness. I know it is different for men they can just shut off that in their brains but I am having real problems. I want to be friends with him and maybe someday that will happen but right now it isn't possible since I am wounded.
