My Story: Part 2 - The School Years
by truthseeker inpart 1: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/163998/1.ashx.
part 2 the school years.
the years from 6 to 10 were fairly uneventful for me as a young jehovahs witness.

I too got bullied all through High School for being a Jovo as they called it, I used to sit and cry outside the school gates begging to go home.
It makes me so sad that my sister's 3 children will now have to go through the same. Heartbreaking!

An attempt at reconciliation.
by AK - Jeff inmy cousin - who was also my best friend for 35 years have been involved in an email exchange in recent weeks.
previous to that he was mostly shunning me.
without getting into details, he had given me room to explain things, especially as to how i have 'changed' as a result of leaving.

My heart too goes out to everyone that has lost someone by suicide, I lost my Mum to suicide 3 months ago. My Dad is struggling with Depression and the feelings of wanting to join my Mum.
It is heartbreaking as we are struggling coming to terms with the fact Mum has gone and clinging on to Dad for him to stay with us but I know that he has to want to be here and to try over time to make a life for himself. My sister is full on trying to make him go back to meetings and if it is what he wants and it will keep him with us I would be happy.
But anyway enough about me, my thoughts are with you xxxxx

Are Jehovah's Witnesses a Cult?
by digderidoo ini have found these 14 characteristics of a typical cult and below are some questions regarding the behaviour of a cult.
my personal opinion is that the watchtower society fits into most of these characteristics, with the exception of 1& 14. possibly part of number 10 fits, but not all.
i feel that all of the questions posed should be asked of jw's and all of the further symptoms apply too.

My First Post!!!
by IreallydidwalkoutofaKH inafter a year of reading all of your experiences and expressions i decided it was time for me to start sharing some of mine.
hopefully they can benefit others, like many of yours have benefited me!
being raised in the wtbts, the jehovahs witness docrine and culture really was the prism from which all of my experiences and understanding of life originated.

I remember the cabbage patch kids thing, I couldn't sleep for a week and from then on all teddys and dolls lived in my wardrobe. Sad isn't it making a child feel like that.
Opps sorry and welcome, nearly forgot
