I understand what you are saying....expecially about the individuals who should have been forced out, who needed to be. They tend to blame the Organization for their problems based on the fact they got kicked out. I have never thought of it that way, but really understand what you are describing. When someone is DF'd, we tend to sympathize with the person punished becauce we just do not trust the elders. However the elders do have "problem people" that have to be forced out. Then those problem people affiliate with us, and the natural tendancy for an ex-JW is to embrace their concerns. When in fact we really have little in common with them. There is a huge difference between a person who leaves for "truths sake" and one who is "forced out" becauce of, as an example.... having abused a child. Just becauce you are an ex-JW, does not mean that you were treated unjustly. This was a great topic, becauce I think I will adjust my approach a little, becauce I can get a little bitter and probobly act in a way, that could suggest, I am a "problem person", when really I am just passionate about the way I was treated at a young age by the WTBTS! Your takes Simom, may be a generalization, but first impressions are mostly generalized!

My theory about the behavior and obsession of some ex-JWs
by Simon ini've had this theory for some time and alluded to it occassionally but have never explored it in detail.. it is of course a huge generalisation so no, not everyone will fit into the boxes and i'd like people's opinion.
i don't know everyone's circumstances so it's based on a small sample of some of those i do know something about.
it could be completely wrong, it's just an idea.. basically, i have seen a difference between some of those ex-jws who walked out vs those who were kicked out.. the most bitter and obsessive seem to be the kicked out and, i must add, those who were legitimately kicked out.

What would you do if Simon made you the new owner of JWD?
by IreallydidwalkoutofaKH ini ask this becauce i really think simon has done this as well as one could.
i have no idea at all why people would ever threaten him over this.
unless the fds paid some moles to screw with this site!

Thank you Lady Lee...I listened alot before I spoke on this site................and your opinions and experiences on you-tube, were very important to me. This site that Simon created, was a very serious component for me to feel like I could take on life as it is!!!! I know you(LADY LEE) know more than I, and Simon sure the hell, has alot on any of us. It is just that for some of us on this board..............we wanted to see the WTBTS have to go dormant! Instead, once again it is us, who get the shaft. This board allowed us a voice and now we are sent back to the drawing boards.........of cource with the experience of JWD!.........which sure the hell is more than I ever recieved from the WTBTS. But it is still disapointing........that people would go after our GUY...SIMON....instead of DA ADAMS. Why is it, that, our hero's always get screwed...but never the Judge Rutherford's of the World?

As far as, paying vs. newbies joining................do you not believe that if it was possible to read everything for free but to add a topic would be let's say 10 dollars per month that would seem reasonable or 50 dollars a year. That way it would keep a jerk from constantly coming on board at $10 a pop. However someone will realize that $50 a year is fair and could go along way for this FORUM!

I ask this becauce I really think Simon has done this as well as one could. I have no idea at all why people would ever threaten him over this. Unless the FDS paid some moles to screw with this site! But the reality is....he really has built an EMPIRE and for the life of me, I can not understand why, with all of these people, a committee can not be constructed, so that this site is not divided into smaller ones! However, if I was the President of the JWD.... I would make it a pay site......and give this FORUM....a brick and mortar component. People would know my address and we as an Organization would make appearances......We would have sanctioned gatherings and socially become a legitamit society in our own right. Okay..............now for your takes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Football season is here..what is the best game you ever missed for Jehovah
by IreallydidwalkoutofaKH inthe biggest game i missed was for a circuit assembly......in 1985 when miami played san francisco in super bowl xix.........my baptism was on 1-7-1989 so it was tough to miss the ca the next day so i missed cincy beating the bills and the 49ers beating the bears to qualify for super bowl xxiii.......do any of you remember when on the final week of the 1982 season i believe the networks did not have broadcasters for the games....missed those games to for the ca.....if you are a fan of another sport feel free to describe your sports experience!

Tex...that's great, watching a game from 25 years back. It is true though...watching the progression of a game is huge...even if its 25 years later! I wonder how you can go back to 77 and not have a few more during the 80's and the Jimmmmmmaaaaa ERAAAAAAAAAAA?

Funny JW memories/stories
by superman insince most of my memories of being a jw, are terrible(and i do mean most of them).
i figured i share one funny one.
one time back when they first started the new number 2 talk arrangement (switched to only doing bible readings, and not having to actually write a talk), i got a talk slip but lost it.a few weeks later i didn't realize i had a talk only until i got to the thursday night meeting, and the school overseer came up to ask me, "are you all set for your talk tonight"?

Does one person, personify the child-hating spirit of the JW's?
by IreallydidwalkoutofaKH ini just ask this...becauce last weekend i had a conversation with someone who could not understand why i would leave god, becauce of a person.
you know the whole "would you leave your wife becauce your boss fired you"!
but my take was based on an individual during that conversation, who really illustrates to me what a disfunctional experience being in the organization was.

Right on James....you are probably correct that a person like that would take advantage of both children and elderly ones, but at least if you are 100 you have some experience. Also your take on how this topic could have reflected the personalities of the Presidents, very well could have been the way to go! However this jackass probably did not know anything about the Judge! Or who Homer was for the matter! He did the things he did becauce he knew he was in the right organization to get away with it! For me seeing in real life, CREEP's in action, is how I will relate to my experience being raised in the King Doomhall!
