  The WTS and Frequent Liar Points

  i have read on here of the frequent flyer points racked up by bethelites etc on wts business and it made me think of this.. .

  frequent liar points.

  the wts has told so many lies to its members, the public and the media that if there were points accumulated for frequent lies then surely they would have a huge tally of them.. .

  yizuman started a thread on some unbelievably stupid email he received about obama.

  i posted to it, mine was the third post, and after i hit submit, it appeared for only a second and then i was directed to a log in page but it was indicated i was still logged in.

  when i tried to find the thread and my post, i have found instead that they disappeared.

  The End...Finally!

  this morning the bastard that attacked my wife with the intention of raping her was sentenced to 25 years to life plus five years.

  he must serve a minimum of 30 years.

  thank god for the three strikes law (i know that some of the liberals on this board may not join me in my gratitude for the voters of california's wisdom in making that law).

  XJW4EVR - It is so good to hear that justice has finally been done. Now that this lowlife scumbag has been sentenced hopefully you and your wife will have some closure and be able to heal. Your wife sounds like a very brave lady with lots of inner strength.

  JW's Value Position & Appearances over Displaying God's Qualities

  before some of the long time members here say to me " tell us something we don't know flipper " - please hear me out on this one.

  some of the newly exiting jw's may not know this info - but need to be made aware of it.. as a young man i was raised in the cult jehovah's witnesses and remained from birth until age 44 .

  i was never, ever asked by my elder father in all those years the question, " son, how is your relationship with jehovah doing ?

  So in my opinion it's one reason so many a-holes end up in power positions in the organization. Having a kind, good personality is NOT what's emphasized at all. It's all about production of increasing numbers of converts, and climbing in power and positions for appearance sake.

  Flipper my husband and I saw that time and time again. Having a 'christian' personality and being a loving, kind, fair person that really cared for others in the congregation did not count - it was what you appeared to be doing and how good a show you could put on, who you could suck up to, how well you would toe the party line and how much of a risk of rocking the boat you would be. In fact one congregation we were in one of the elder's told an MS that was keen to reach elder status that if he wanted to be an elder he need to 'polish the car'. The car was the PO and the polishing meant brown nosing, flattering and included giving gifts of money and meals etc (the PO was unemployed and pioneering).

  Over the many years (40) that we were JWs we saw those that were like that were appointed way ahead of those who were meek, quiet, caring ones.

  Moving Day...not for me exactly :)

  ..i hate moving, haven't done it myself in awhile.....but it is furniture moving day for me.

  this is not a serious thread, a tirade thread, a troll thread...its just ....a commentary on real life thread... i like having a real life.. having lived alone in this house for the last 12 years, i have managed to not accumulate a lot of crap.

  i have a rule: 1 thing in, 2 things out...keeps clutter to a minimum.

  Just the freedom to live a normal life and enjoy all these milestones like you are doing snakes is so wonderful after all those years of bondage to the WTS.

  the best birthday ever?

  next week is my 30th.

  i have never celebrated my birthday due to being brought up in the cult.. this year i intend to change all that!

  but as a novice in the birthday department i wonder if anyone could tell me.... what makes the best birthday ever?.

  Well highdose I have never celebrated a birthday either and this year will be my first too so I can't really give you too many hints but one thing I think would make it fantastic is to celebrate it with people who really care for you unconditionally and are happy for it to be your day. That's what I'm hoping for mine anyway.

  When I read this post it reminded me so much of the movie "The Village". Keep them in fear of the horrors and evil 'out there'. A great ploy of mind control.
