Sorry pal. I've seen many witnesses come to this board. They do exactly as you have done and are doing in the JC Analysis and the back to basics thread. They become dogmatic, assertive, and insulting.
I've also seen others who simply agree to disagree.
At least the EX's don't go around screaming "Jah's gonna kill you.. nah nah nah nah.. boo boo!"
Most EX's on here who haven't had a bad social experience or been immoral have doctrinal issues. Why don't you get one of the governing body that you've "confered with" to venture over to sights like this and have an honest debate?
All I've seen besides folks despising gullibility and stupidity are ex witnesses attacking the WT leaders, and you JW apologists defending your faith like some kind of stupid good vs. evil contest. Don't you understand that you are being a WT croney?? Your whole purpose is to get members, keep current members in-check, and defend the "organization" (read: WT leadership).
What's sad is ALL of this is cloaked under the guise of RELIGION. Your nothing but a glorified literature salesman working for FREE! It's the most immoral and dispicable thing I have ever seen, to have so few take advantage of so many. Just like the lousy pastors in "christiandom churches" tithing/offering their members to death.
I hope you wake up one day and smell the roses.

I struggle very deeply with this issue - and its not just a Witness doctrine issue (it applies to all "Chrsitianity")- it has gotten so bad I am tending to be agnostic in my beliefs now.
I know EXACTLY what you mean. I have been through this struggle. Don't worry about what others may say. Being agnostic is NOT the end of the world, nor is atheism, for that matter.

Have you ever thought that maybe YOU read into generic articles more than is really there? How could one article be written to cover such a wide and diverse audience? It's called generalization. Try reading some religious literature from Ron Rhodes or Jimmy Swaggart. These "highly-annointed" individuals do the very same thing.
Ohhhh.... That's right!! You can't do that! You can only look at WT approved literature. Gee, I wonder why?
For every article that you skim through in the WT literature for lack of importance/relevance to you, that same article is the next "food in the proper time" for someone else.
Is divine guidance the cause? Doubtful, unless God also edits Popular Mechanics or Time Magazine.

Thanks. I actually got off my butt (wow!) and looked up the number at the jw-media sight. I called them and the operator told me that she couldn't tell me whether or not my telephone conversation was being recorded. She told me she would forward me to someone who COULD tell me, but they were out to lunch. I havn't tried back yet, and won't until tomorrow.

by Amazing inthe title to this post sounds impressive, but i am not going to do to much here that is too technical, except to draw attention to the general scope of jw justice, and the shear battlefield of religious victims.
i will evaluate just the usa statistics.
many of my numbers are estimates, but i have reason to believe that they are generally representative of reality.. there are about 1,000,000 jws in the usa, in about 7,000 congregations.

I don't think that because a Witness is prosecuted for being a child molester brings reproach to Jehovah or his organization.
Good for you humble! Now convince your governing body of the same thing (without getting kicked out of your "religion" and losing your friends and family) and you will be getting somewhere! That will cease the need to quiet the victims from talking to the police and maybe get them on-track to getting actual help for the abuse they've endured!
Humble, the JWs would be MUCH better off if more like YOU were on the governing body. Maybe with folks such as yourself making the calls the witness cult could defer back to the alternative religion it was to start with.

Your loyalty to a publishing corporation is commendable (I guess). Unfortunately, since you consider it in Jah's approval (God Almighty), "not bringing reproach upon the congregation" may one day override your sense of "protect[ing] the children in the congregations".
That's all I'm worried about.
