of course that's a natural conclusion to draw, because it looks like jerusalem of old is in question, however this subject needs to be examined a little closer; because jerusalem of old is not in question here at all.. 24"and they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive into all the nations; and jerusalem shall be trodden down of [the] nations until [the] times of [the] nations be fulfilled.

When the NT references the "word of God" what is it referring to?

the nt references the 'word of god' in a number of places.

(for example: hebrews 4:12-the word of god is alive and exerts power and is sharper than a two-edged sword).

it can't be referring to the ot and the mosaic law because those authors writing after jesus's death were trying to put away the old law traditions, and it can't be referring to any of the nt books because many were not even written yet or known to be scripture per se.

in fact, God has no "earthly organisation" ...... , only a "heavenly Kingdom" which will be extended over earth

. His purpose is to have a "people" of cleaned/sanctified individuals as written

14 " who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good."

only to a such kind of "people" God will give the Kingdom as written in Daniel 7 v27.

so , God has NOT earthly organisation , and don't need it , BUT His purpose is to "start" His (heavenly) Kingdom on earth with in a "people" composed by "purified individuals" of whose Head is Christ !

Those understanding these things are just now cleaning themselves through the "water" of truth , by faith !

i often wondered if those issues were debatable; either way, i found the discussions of the historical data to be far too technical for the average person to absorb.

if i may be so bold, i consider myself as slightly above average, in my more arrogant moments.

Indeed , Russell has "borrowed" the chronology from others... who lived before him

Here would be important to say that the Bible chronologies were NOT discovered by God to Russell or others of his mates or followers

the chronology was not dscovered untill about 8 years ago , but is not believed yet .

There is an important thing to be observed : all given "datas" belong to "end-times prophecies" (Daniel and Revelation) , so, they are a part of "end-time"... and these datas CANNOT be used with the purpose to find WHEN the end-time starts or begins

the real data of the begining of the latter days and end-time is to be found with OTHER MEANS , and surely WITHOUT Daniel's chronologies...
