More roles for women, as well as recognition that pants/slacks are appropriate for meetings and service. The beard thing was a biggie--have to laugh, as it seems now that virtually every male face in WT Land is furry. Talk about pent-up demand.

The Next Big Thing In WT World

there was a lot of discussion going on on this board for a few months.
now that all the leaks have been more or less confirmed as policy, and we've had lively discussions at length concerning the changes, things seem to have slowed down here.. a few suggestions have been raised as to what might be the next changes, such as women being allowed to wear slacks (in the usa, anyway), decoupling from 1914 as an anchoring date and others.. so, what changes do you think will be announced this year?.

First of all, stop beating yourself up. You are having NORMAL feelings to an ABNORMAL situation. You are not alone. There is nothing wrong with you. Your range of feelings right now are totally NORMAL and they will, eventually, pass. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Get help there, seriously. DO NOT take such drastic action. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
You haven't actually done anything wrong at this point, certainly nothing worthy of judicial action. Having doubts is not a disfellowshipping offence. If elders want to talk, you can then play the "Oh, no, she misunderstood me," and "I am dealing with depression" card. That will probably not lead to judicial action, especially if you say that you're taking it to Jehovah in prayer and you want to do the right thing, etc. etc. That will keep a roof over your head and buy you time to figure out where to go.
Let me add--there is no wrong way to leave a cult. I think Steven Hassan said that and it brought me enormous comfort when I was going through your situation. And you're young--you have your whole life in front of you, free from all of the false hopes that would otherwise drag you down.

One of the last conventions I attended had a 13 min. part on apostates. In that short time, the speaker (who I presume was using an outline supplied by the WTS) used more than 60 derogatory terms for apostates, including "mentally diseased" and others. I kept track--I wrote them all down as fast as I could! What made it all the more stark is that I was reading Ray Franz's Crisis of Conscience around that time, in which he speaks of the GB with restraint and human decency, even though he had grounds to use stronger terms against them. The contrast was startling. Who has real love?

There's no conspiracy here, folks. Just plain old-fashioned science. Minimize your exposure (though PROVEN means like masks, social distancing, and washing your hands) and your chances of getting sick are reduced. Not gone, just reduced. Avoid those things and guess what? Your chances of getting the virus are increased. Not a certainty, just increased.
Trump and his circle shrugged off these very simple steps while, by contrast, Biden and his circle followed them religiously. Not hard to do the math here...
