Help - am I on the fence??

please bear with me, newbie here :).

i have had doubts for a few years now.

i was raised in the truth, baptised at 16, married at 24...the usual stuff.

Can I ask, on the cult thing that Canary mentioned....say we agree that yes, JW is a cult; is there any one true religion then? Where did it all start? Do we then not believe in creation? Or anything from the bible? I think I ask too many questions....LOL! My mind just races ahead trying to comprehend everything. In the past whenever Ive asked questions, like how did God get here etc, I would always be told 'the brain cant comprehend that, you'll have to wait til the new system when Jehovah may tell us'. But I want answers NOW....*stamping foot*....LOL!!

minimus had a great thread recently asking if any who were witnesses felt guilt as a jehovah's witness.

thought i would build on that a little dealing with how you have moved on after being a jehovah's witness ?.

one definition of guilt in the american heritage dictionary is : " self-reproach for supposed inadequacy or wrongdoing ".

Hi Humanist :) Can I ask, when you left, did you leave behind family...or have anyone disown you? I find it exciting that you could walk away and feel like a burden had been lifted from your shoulders. That prospect sounds very enticing. How old were you when you did this?

hi everyone...i have a confession to make, i actually joined 5mths ago, but never came back to the site.

ive had doubt for a few years now.. my parents came into the truth when i was a toddler.

no other family members are witnesses.

Hi Troubled...thankyou :) I like how you point out about a God of mercy....I think that is something often overlooked and forgotten. That through all the different levels of 'power' within the organisation, God has stopped being real. Its almost as if serving man is what has happened. I believe in God...but like you said, I cannot see how a merciful, loving God would want his people to suffer in unhappiness. You've given me food for thought, as has everyone else on this thread....I thank you all so much :)

I was being serious....LOL!! It cant be apostate if other baptised witnesses are on here, and not thinking about leaving. Right? Help a girl out here...lol!

i was talking to a baptised friend, and they dont like the idea of me being on here..i told them that ive mentioned it to an elder and that a few know im here,afterall im heeding the warning .

anyway, i explained to them that we are drawn out by our own desire,its whatever is in our heart....... hmmm did that come across ok???

so what im saying is yes negative thoughts or comments whatever we are warned against can harm us but its up to us what we listen to and if our heart is right we shall remain in gods love.

Yes, he left us. No warning. I had to file missing persons to find him. He is NOT providing for the children at all. He has not contacted us at all. So, no, he is not providing financially OR spiritually - yet he attends meetings and goes witnessing in his country *rolls eyes*. As for messing around, I have proof he near enough did, but I don't know if he actually slept with her. So, you can see how it is a difficult situation for me. The elders over where he is I guess have their hands tied, coz he's a good liar. He told them I kicked him out. LIE. So, they have to believe him I guess. They can't make him come back to us. Nor would I want him back knowing what I now know.
