  i just got out from jw bye a d.f.

  4 weeks ago after 44 years as an active jw.am i insane or why am i having that great feeling of freedom??

  i am sitting here infront of the computer having a cold beer and just enjoying life.shouldnt i be crying and having a depression sitting here in tears over missing all my jw friends that now are vanished??.

  It is sad to see someone who served Jehovah in the capacity of elder, turn on Jehovah and get disfellowshipped. What were you disfellowshipped for? Did you try an appeal?

  You are committing a DF offense just by speaking with Kjell Hedblom...ahem.. Do your elders know that you come here and associate with apostates?

  I'm not saying you shouldn't but the WT is saying you can't without being contaminated with apostasy. You have committed a DFing offense so technically you are a JW but not in YOUR heart because YOU are here.

  none here- but my brother & his wife- both good witnesses got married- didn't get to complete the act for 6 weeks- his wife had no idea he was so big- and kept crying & was afraid.

  The JWs should have their very own form of hypochondria named for their illness. Since, it can help them get out of service and meetings without appearing too weak; almost all the JWs I've known has some sort of chronic illness.

  hmm... we wouldn't want you to be any different .. not in the least...

  I feel the same way...I have no regrets... even about getting dunked. I like the person I've become regardless of my past. Besides, we can't change the past and we can't change other people. So, why speculate on how things might have been if only...

  Sorry that your losing your job. However, it may help with accomplishing your goal of becoming a nurse. Nursing can be a good field for mothers since there are many different shifts to work and you will never be out of work again.

  Amanda, don't worry things will work out for you and your daughter. It takes time to recover from so much lose.

  BTW... If you can go for the RN license rather than LPN because you will have many more opportunities. Also, RN's make an average of $6-10 an hour more than LPN's. Then, the RN license is more often recognized in other states and countries ... ahem

  geez- does gossip spread in j dub land.

  last night when i got home there was a message from a jw friend asking me to call her.

  well, i did and she had heard that i had moved in with a "worldly" person and asked me how i was, etc... i asked her where she had heard that and she told me so&so told her.

  Hmm...Gossip about DF'd DA'd persons is permitted by all JWs including elders and their wives. You cannot slander a DF/DA'd person only fellow believers!

  the grandaddy of big jw discussion boards like this one is the site that i launched in 1997 after leaving the mining co., witnesses.net (or witnet).

  if you weren't into the whole jw online scene before 2001 then you missed it.

  when i pulled the plug on the site about a year and a half ago, i did not keep any archives of the site.
