They were both amazed at the grandiloquent write up of the newly released brochures on the origin of life released at the 2010 DC

"Feeling sorry for yourself" about being hit by your husband is not Christian 2/15/12 WT Page 25 P 12
by yourmomma inhave anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?
its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .
if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

To be honest this just underlines the fact that women have no value in the organisation aside from their relationship with men. District overseer's wife, circuit overseer's wife, elder's wife - 'status' for a woman is only through her "husbandly owner".
17 years of a women getting sporadically beaten is a price worth paying if it brings a male in the cult.
They pay lip service to women doing the bulk of the time wasting busy work ministry, but that is all it is.

I love the obession they have with ensuring sisters wear high heels. I mean the sister on ther cover page, touring a factory wearing 2 or 3 inch heels? It's so stupid it's laughable.
It's not high dress standards either, people in the world don't 'admire' our clothes.
I was on the service once with a friend in standard witness preaching dress & a man answered the door with "I'm not interested", I said, being a smart alec "But you dont know why we're here", He said "You're Jehovahs Witnesses and I know this cos you're young women dressed like the Waltons".
I had to laugh.

Blondie's Comments You Will Not Hear at the 11-13-2011 WT Study (RUN RACE)
by blondie inthat the runners in a race all run, but only.
in the christian race, all who finish win that.
you do to finish and thus win that race?.

Thanks Blondie.
That concept of 'by assocation' or 'by extension' is a real thought blocker.
The preaching commission applies to the other sheep 'by extension'.
The prohibition on blood applies to the other sheep 'by extension' even though literal Israel could sell an unbled animal to an 'alien resident' without sin...
It's so stupid. If I associate with a bunch of millionaires who have to pay 50% tax, as a poor person I don't become liable for their tax rate by association simply because I go to the same church with them.

A week without field service makes you weak! Anybody remember that?
by Bonnie_Clyde ini remember an assembly--maybe 30 years ago--and it was stated over and over again in one of the assembly parts.
i suppose we should avoid association with someone who hasn't been out in service for a "week" or we will also become "weak.

Hi 3rdgen - I'm not Blondie by any means, but I think you're thinking of WT 1974 2/15 "Widening Out in Our Love for Mankind"
From paragraph 19
But this will not free from bloodguilt individuals who fail to show real love and concern for fellowmen. To illustrate, if a father neglected his child so that it came into a perilous situation, he would not be without guilt even if someone else rescued the child from death. Similarly, one professing to be a servant of Jehovah but failing in his duty toward others would not be guiltless. His loveless, unconcerned attitude would be tantamount to murder. He would not be able to excuse himself on the basis that he did some preaching, for Jehovah God would know the degree of negligence and would pass judgment accordingly.—Rom. 14:12.
Now is no time for anyone to try to get by with mere token service or to involve himself with cares of life or business ventures to such an extent that he has no time for people. The greatest lifesaving work in the history of mankind is rapidly drawing to a close. Is it not right, therefore, for us to make sacrifices, to forgo personal pleasures and desires? -

COST CUTTING IDEAS, STOP SENDING THE BIG GUNS TO TWO DAY CONVENTIONS. YOUR IDEAS?
by AvocadoJake init can cost up to $3,000 to fly a sister and her husband to give a part on the circuit assembly, wine and dine, and house in a nice hotel.
the district conventions are not cheap, nor are they really productive, the message is lost so quick.
there has to be a way to get more bang, for your buck!

And for fund raising ideas - bring in an 'Honor Jehovah with your valuable things' voluntary tithe arrangement whereby you can report 1 hours service for every 10 dollars you contribute...
