i think as a witness i learned humility and to say "im sorry" ...
thanks for that much. too bad it messed me up for a couple years.
anyway, still thankfully for my witness days :D
human interaction today too often seems to feature either playing the role of "offender" or "offended.
"most parties involved in an altercation plead "not guilty" regardless of the evidence.. but are there times when a simple unconditional "i'm sorry" might prevent a harmless spark from becoming a raging inferno?.
i pesonally have offended people hundreds of times during my life and have been offended to the same extent.

this was a post on another thread.. it just reeks of a jw stereotyped psyche.. "this religion has the truth.
god picked us special.
jws may know the name, but we own god outright.".
all organized religions are completely and utterly disgusting. they will NOT lead you to truth. or anything closely resembling it.
in us public schools, they used to have special classes for gifted students.
all students would be tested for academic achievement and iq, then placed in "gifted classes" with parental permission.. in my kingkongregation, parents would not give permission because it would make the children arrogant and later leave the trooftm.
it would also mean more time studying worldlytm subjects than necessary.. and if the student is female, oh hell no, she wasn't getting into the gifted courses, no way, no how!
ummm, i know several witnesses that were enrolled in the honors programs in school, and even some in the gifted programs...
those dudes have incredibly long necks.
but we won't hold that against them.. .
what exactly is the little dude getting out of the meeting.. i mean, srsssly.
this happens all the time in professional industry.
last night the co came to visit.
he gave a talk that centered around a christian's ability to function well within the organization.
there are many christians who are having problems in their personal lives and this can be traced to one thing.
well i mean, i know of JW parents who have kicked their ADULT children out (teenage or not) - but never a minor, or this type of attitude.
even in those cases i feel it is bad (i mean a kid who just never wanted to be a witness, trying to get through college, wants to live at home...)
but then, i mean, if you dont want to follow the rules of the house, you're out. thats what ive always known, in a worldly family. hence me being kicked out @ 15 BY A "WORLDLY" FAMILY ;)
he/she shows up, makes a post on a thread directed to me.
then back in the shadows.. a couple years back i had one too.
this shadow boxing match moved to an off-forum ring.
theres enough gangs here

yeah, i think you need to let go of the whole "boxer" mentality.
unless you are talking about fighting yourself, that is.
good idea you think?.
i found a statement that is so very relevant at this time what with all the bailouts and greed we've seen and still see.
'the rich are too big to fail and the poor are to small to save'.
“Arthur Brooks may be the most innovative and creative analyst of public policy in America today. His insights are in a different league and may lead to an entirely new approach to thinking through public policy. Gross National Happiness is a must read for every person who wants to understand what policies America needs.”

buddhism would be my choice ....
how convenient.
the truth = yes we are!!
ive said this in the past but really why am i at the door...not to sell vaccum cleaners!
we dont "force" people to change religions.....we just force them to stay in with disfellowshiping......."we don't hate gays".......we are just waiting for them to be burnt to death at armagedon..
