I do not attend but it seems kind of strange to me about their views of the last days and judgement.
Now how do they know who is going to be raised in the last days, (rewards like Daniel) or after the 1,0000 years during the judgement?

I think Jesus makes it clear that Whoso eateth, any man eat, all who.
It is a criteria for Christians to have eternal life to be raised up in the last days! We partake because we believe in Jesus Christ! And at the Passover(memorial) it is his bread that represents his flesh/ wine represent his blood! It represents what he has done for all mankind!
WTBT claims that if you are not too sure that you are a 144,000 class, you should not partake! However, they neglected to read that scripture correct! If you do not believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God then you should not partake! It has nothing to do with heavenly or earthly flocks! Now where does it say that only the 144,000 partake and only a heavenly calling partakes! It does not! Jesus speaks of eternal life and we shall live forever if we believe in him and the one who sent him! We are to search our hearts and to repent. I say repent because just like the multitude who rejected him they might have repented in Acts another Passover event! 3,000 were saved and repented and believe that Jesus was indeed the expected messiah.
Now, do you just feel sorry for the ones sitting at the hall who are blinded by the WTBTS? I was just like them! Until I questioned that scripture!
Also the great crowd will never partake it would go completely against their doctrines unless they do it on there own which that is what I think you are referring. Here is what will probably happen.
As far as people just partaking well they will be looked down upon! People have been partaking for years who the elders claim are not the anointed class! They go to their houses and make visit. The elders try to get them to not partake and show them scriptures as to why. Anyhow, they really make it hard on the ones who do!
Although I got off your subject a little, thanks for your post it was a good reminder as to my Christian faith and how important it is to partake!
is the attention directed toward the accomplishments of the organization really a form of idolatry, as some contend, or is it simply following jesus' admonition to "let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven"?.
Paul was a strange one! In my views he is not much of a good example but perhaps he was a little out of his mind.
As far as the WTBTS I would say that you are right! and it is a form of idolatry it part of self pride and neglecting the Father and the Son! Boasting of ones self is a form of idolatry! God does know peoples hearts!
I got sick and tired of watching the elders and their puffed up pride instead of boasting Jesus they boasted about themselves. It was the same in the WT!
written in probably between 50-80 ad by the apostle paul or perhaps more correctly dictated by paul and quite possibly, expanded on by his followers, colossians gives us many interesting verses:.
1:13-23. states that jesus is the first born over all creation, all things in heaven, earth and under the earth were created through him, by him and for him.. that the fullness of god dwelt in jesus and that jesus reconciled all unto him by his death on the cross.. and that god has reconciled us in christ, holy, blemish free, free of accusation, as long as we continue in our faith.. in the second chapter the writer states that in jesus all the fullness of the deity ( god) lives in bodily form and that we have been given fullness in christ who is ( present tense) head and authority over all.. now we come to a very interesting part in colossians:.
2: 16-23. where the writer now states that no one should judge by what one eats or drinks, or in regards to religious festivals, new moons, sabbaths, that no one desqualifies us from the prize because they worship angels and have false humility.

For I would have you know how greatly I strive for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

I think it makes it clear that Paul is stating, "Let NO MAN rob you of your prize.."

Would it change anything if Mark came before Mathew? Most religions will go with Mathew first! but now that we have historical writers Like Bart! and the so called Lost Saying of Jesus Christ! or the Q. Anyhow as far as I am concerned The Lost Saying of Jesus Christ is just a theory and there is no proof as to which came first Mark of Mathew! I believe that the historical people are trying to throw in a new thought that could possible make people not believe in the bible or turn completely away from ones faith! Anyhow, it is about making money on their books and some of them really do put Christ down they do not bring him up as he was even more so!
I just realized one day it does not matter! and the WTBTS are not unique in keeping Mathew before Mark! They are not going to change anymore than a Baptist! Who really is to say that a few modern day historian has it right! It is all smoke to get people to read the other books! I say read them and judge for youself! then you will feel hoodwinked just like the WTBTS did all of us! Believing in something that was just made up lies!
On the flip side, WTBTS really did screw up their views regarding Revelations!

WT really beats the "Put the wicked man out!" to death. When will they put it in full context? After all Paul did write 2Corith the teary letter of Paul! stating to forgive the man! I don't think we will be meeting too many wicked men who are living or marrying their father's wives, do you?
As Paul has stated it is not from God but from him! :-) Now should they put the wicked man out because Paul wanted him out or God? "smirk"
WT copies the Catholics and the Catholics borrowed from Hebrews, and the Jewish borrowed and dabbled into pagan myths and false gods!

It is strange! you can be raised as a JW then when the news one come in they are treated different! almost better. We the ones who were raised as JW well we should all know better.
Here something you probably noticed as well overseer(do they still have them?) childrens are treated so special.
You will even notice with some exjw because they were raised as elders children's they come across as higher up the ladder. Shhhh! they think they are special. It like they were at the meetings and they thought they were special now that they are exs they still think they have some sorta specialness!
How many times have you heard my father is an elder or was an elder, blaah, blaaah, bla!
I just feel sorry for elder kids although adults and way too old! Some still think eldership gives them certain status!
Maybe that is what you are seeing! Not to mention the clicks!

I joined a similar like minded church SDA but faded away from them as well. They believe Jesus is Jehovah God! I have gone to many churches to see what they believe and what they offer!
No matter what church I have attended they all have false doctrines and are money making organization. Actually, I have found most sermons full of twist and turns that they make the JW look good.
how is it that every member of the gb has claimed to be anointed when they themselves doubt the anointed status of r&f anointed?

Many of the anointed both older ones and younger ones have died BUT not all will die before the Great Tribulation.
They are still saying that? I heard that since the 60s! It is such a conflicting statement! Not all the 144,000 will die and go to heaven! OR will all need to die and go to heaven! and then the Great Tribulation will start! Revelation sorta debunks that theory because it says that the 144,000 are already sealed. SEALED! The remaining ones who need to be sealed are the great crowd who make it through the Great Tribulation and has washed their robes in the blood of the lamb and not the anointed 144,000.
The Righteous Ones will Shine as Brightly as the Sun
Is that the Sun(Son) who is going to come back with healing in his wings! I do not think the righteous one will shine as bright as Jesus! People are too imperfect and we are under God's grace! so it is crazy to even make a statement like that!
Where is their scripture to back that one up!

the blood issue wasn't an issue for me.
my best friend was on the blood committee for years and i could see many cases where either blood wouldn't have saved the person anyways (like when a person is in a serious car accident and their liver is in pieces), or blood actually killed the person and/or hindered recovery.. then my little nephew got leukemia.
Palm you work in health care? When did they start saying fraction of blood? and is a fraction still blood? Perhaps they use the term for JWs. I wonder if your doctor goes around telling his patients that they can use a fraction of blood, or is it just certain people like JWs. :-)
