  went to the movies with some jw friends over the weekend.

  a preview for this movie was shown.

  when we left the movie, everyone talked about this preview and how we would see this all happen in our time - minus the govt ships taking people to safety.

  at the kh recently, we had a few people move in from other areas.

  most of these have been jws for more than 5 years.

  some have come in and within a short period of time they were appointed as elders, others as ms, and so on.

  I need a good excuse

  i am thinking of stepping down from my position in the congregation.

  this is the first big step to my fade from the jw world.

  i talked to my wife about it and she told me that she thought it was best i did because there is no reason to do something if your heart is not wanting to do that.

  i was thinking about this site and the purpose it serves.

  each person has a different reason to be on here.

  some of us are in and want out, some of are out and need to use this as a way of communicating the hurt and repression and anger that they have experienced whether self induced or wt induced.

  Dinner and alcohol - what will happen next

  last night, i had a friend over for dinner.

  nothing major, just ordered a pizza and talked a good bit about his business, family, vacations coming up.

  nothing really from a spiritual aspect, which was fine by me.

  more money?

  here is my observation - i was with a few other jws this morning and one of them asked what we were each doing with our now "free" night since the book study change.

  answers ranged from evening field service to family study.

  when we were discussing this, one brother mentioned that he has not saved any money on gas because he still drives past the kh to get home.

  No phone calls please...

  for all those that read my post from the other day, i have been asked that if i am to miss any meetings i must call one particular elder per his request.

  so on sunday i woke up and decided to stay home from the meeting and test my theory that this guy is on a power trip.

  i "had a headache" which in all reality was a small hangover from the night before.

  for about a year or so, i have hid in the darkness peeking at this site and following everyone else's story.
