Report on meeting with PO
by freeman inhello all, i think you will find this interesting:.
well the meeting took place and i have to say it had a few surprises.
one of the biggest surprises was that it was truly non-confrontational in every respect.

WTS Leaders - Mass Killers
by Lee Elder inthe great and widely unrecognized killer of jehovah's witnesses is without.
question the watchtower society's irrational policy on the use of blood.. there are enough studies and information available for us to conservatively.
estimate 900 deaths among the jw population each year - the actual.

The LOVE problem
by Mazza inwhy is practising "love" so difficult for christians?
given the theme of the bible is about love and given that christians are constantly expounding the virtues of believing, why is there such a problem following this most basic of christian teachings?
it's a huge problem, apart from isolated instances of exceptional goodness which are found radomly occuring throughout all humanity - christians do not have a good track record with this most simple concept of their belief system.

How long out? Why still here?
by hillary_step insome posters to this board, who perhaps are bored posters, have been out of the wts for a long while, some for decades.
i think i understand why you still feel the need to meet here but just wished to hear from you personally.. how long have you been out?
why do you still feel the need to discuss and involve yourselves with jw issues?

Recurring Dream
by Englishman ini keep having this dream that i have started smoking again.. i packed it in years ago, but i am always dreaming that i am in a social situation chatting to friends when i sudenly realise that i have been smoking cigarettes all evening.
then i start to feel very upset and hurl the pack away.
i keep shouting that it was a mistake, that i hadn't even realised that i was smoking, but no-one believes me.

HELP - Elders want to talk about Disassociation
by Steven ini thought that this was all out of the way when 2 weeks ago my wife & i handed in letters of disassociation.. we have been since then trying to adjust & just when i thought i was getting somewhere - starting to feel normal again - i got a phone call 1hr ago from our presiding overseer saying that they haven't announced it yet & wanted to talk.. he is a very nice guy & i was caught totally unprepared so i put him off - said i would ring back later - 2pm'ish uk time.. now i have that horrible feeling in my stomach again - help!.
basically, when it comes down to it i don't think we want them to come over - it will open us up too much & i don't want that.. also, though, i want to sort it out; so i am thinking of just chatting to him for a bit on the phone.. i didn't really want to do this since it could knock their faith & also i am not fully ready to argue all of the facts with elders.
however it looks like i will have to.. anyway when it boils down to it they can argue away all of the facts like the un thing etc.

Bill Bowen Rocks!
by Stephanus inthe interview was great.
bill told his story of the shameful way in which he and the victims of paedophilia he was trying to protect were treated brilliantly.
but where did they dredge up such a deadshit interviewer?

Bush's speech -- I'll be the first to admit...
by Seeker in...it was an effective speech.
i was impressed, and thought it only fair to say so here given the recent political discussions.
